why arent you playing games? They're a hell of a lot better than internet forums.
I´m not playing games because i´m addicted to the Escapist.Which is much better then many games that I've played.

Not possible right now. Thats why, I was asking the question because you ARE on your computer already and it is possible.
You don't know that.

We could very well be possibly playing a windowed game side-by-side with this internet browser.

haha either your dumb shit that actually believes that a computer cost 10x what your xbox and still just be able to play games with same grafic as the xbox or ur just trolling. And you know what? you buy a hdmi cable for computer to tv and there you go! you can also play pc games on ur "big" 42"
Awesome. Just awesome. Thank you for proving that console gamers aren't the only ones who are 'simplified'. Idiocy doesn't have brand loyalty.
Well thank you for proving that console tards actually exist, I thought they were just myths
Fine, serious reply since you decided to type like someone over the age of 8 this time around.

Xbox 360 = $199
Mid-range Gaming Desktop (no monitor) = $1999
200/2000 = 1/10

Math is fun!

Also PC games are designed with the desk relationship in mind, meaning that the text and HUD style graphics are often unreadable from the couch. Not to mention that that would mean all of my computer use would be tied to the living room, and quite frankly there are some things I do on the internet that I'd rather not have in the common area.

Also you missed the subtle hints that I was just effing with people. I have games on my consoles and my computer systems, but for new releases I prefer the ability to plug and play with the 360.
Ye math is fun.
http://www.komplett.se/k/ci.aspx?sku=10180 that computer can easily play fallout 3 with better grafic then xbox360 and it cost 9.995:- Swedish kr (with a monitor, mouse, speaker) which is about $1435,55, so yeah math is fun. And if you decide to build it urself you can easily go under $1000 and still have better performance then a xbox 360
Yes! Of course! How could I forget that one computer on the obscure Swedish website that I can't read and can't browse and can't purchase that is only 7 times more expensive than a 360! To me the benefits of the PC platform for most games is outweighed by all the inherent problems. If I buy a game for the 360 I pick it up from the store, bring it home, put it in my system, and play it. If I buy the same game for the PC I check the requirements, make sure I've spent the required thousands of dollars to be able to play it, bring it home, install it on my computer, switch discs, probably run into a few errors, update my drivers, finally run the game, the game probably crashes, I go to the forums, find a solution, change some system settings, then play it. Maybe.

I play plenty of games on the PC - FPS games, MMORPGs, and RTS games should usually never be played on a console - but anything else I play on the 360 because I know that I won't have to do anything but put the disc in and pick up the controller.

I'll save my other PC vs. Console arguments for another time and maybe for someone who occasionally uses whole words.

...because gaming doesn't have to be done 24/7? That's like asking why someone who is married is out having a walk instead of having sex.
This post answered the thread in its entirety. It's not like we PC owners are some entirely alien creature, ready and willing to game 24/7...

A cookie to you, sir, for an excellent and succinct post.
Wow, thank you very much :3

Well you answered your own question didn't you?

Also it's easy to alt+tab out of a game and go on the internet if you feel like it.

Also, I'm fairly sure this thread is premeditated flamebaiting...
Actually no, I honestly wanted to know why now why. I mean I am on here coz I'm bored and cant really do anything else with any entertainment value for some time.
Then why is your question directed at "PC gamers" specifically, instead of all the people on the forum?
Because PC gamers are already on their PC's. Console gamers aren't. I'm assuming most PC gamers that would call themselves "gamers" would have their PC's for thier gaming capabilties.
I am a PC gamer and I am not on my PC. I am on my laptop which is what I use to surf the internet since it has Linux as the OS.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229133 even if you dont understand swedish if your not a complete retard you should be able to see what it got in it ( I dont think radeon hd4870 is spelled different in english) and if you got errors and stuff with every game you purchases then you're doing something wrong, and them I mean really wrong which proves that you're nothing else then a console tard (As I mention earlier). And excuse me that my English isn't perfect, as your probably have already figured out I'm Swedish and that means English is my second language while you fat americans only learn one.

Is this just a lame attempt at flamebait?
PC gamers obviously have a PC and I'm sure that there are relatively few who play games on it 24/7.
You do the math.

I'm here because I have multiple screens.

One for games, one for music/browsing/IM, and one for consoles.

And yes, I do them all simultaneously.

Because PC gamers don't just play video games on their computer all day without doing anything else.

To the PC gamers here, Why are you here. I'm not saying 'GTFO' or anything I was just wondering why if you are on your PC and your a gamer, why arent you playing games?
Because the bolded section of your statement is not necessarily true. I'm not on my gaming rig right now.
