No, regardless of platform.
I'm not a fanboy but I refuse to promote EA's business tactics of forcing people to use their service. I'm not missing out on anything if I don't play EA games.

Yes, I'd buy it from Origin. I'd rather buy it on Steam though, since Steam is just so much faster and easier than origin. It doesn't make a huge difference to me though.

Weeeeell ... I want to buy ME3 badly, on release even. But if they pull the same Origin-exclusive stuff, I will have to reconsider that, as I refuse to use Origin in the first place.
As it stands, I'd refuse to buy ME3, if they restrict it to Origin ... But god knows what I'll do in March ... :/

You do know Valve uses the same tactic with their games 'forcing' Steam on you, but PC gamers still bend over and take it from them. Got to love that double standard some PC gamers have.

I will buy it. If it's on Origin, I'll crack it so I don't have to endure EA's spyware.

Seeing as how I think I'm getting it on 360, yea, I will be. And if not, I'll get a physical copy and just deal with Origin. Steam has never really bothered me that much, don't see how bad this could be.

For me it depends on whether or not origin will be used. I wont cry or get mad if its not on steam because I can just go and get a physical copy. No problem. However if they expect me to connect to origin even though Ive paid for a physical copy, well no Im not putting up with that.

Nope. I probably wasn't going to get it on release even if it was on Steam, but there's no chance now.

Digital copies suck balls D:<

I would never buy something from steam, because if I don't get a box and a disc I feel like I am being ripped off. How well I remember when buying a pc game meant you would get a book-sized manual full of anecdotal stories and artwork, and maybe a map.

Now I have to spend all my precious dollars on collector's editions just so I can get extra stuff!

... It's totally worth it :D

Not sure if I'd buy it on steam (my previous 2 were retail copies) but so long as it doesn't require origin to play, I'd buy it.

I prefer physical buys, I don't buy things on steam unless I've got the collection on it already or it's through one of those graphic card coupons.

I've got the entirety of Dawn of War 2, and Half Life on there as well as Left 4 Dead 2, Supreme Commander 2, Just Cause, and Mafia II.

I'm hoping not to add anything.

Why is no one upset that your forced to download steam even if you buy a physical copys of some games? I hate steam and am forced to download it?

I love the double standard the escapist community has.

A game has to be something particularly special for me to buy it outside of steam these days. I have 200ish games on steam and I like my games digital, plus to be frank Valve i one of the few publishers/distributors that has earned my trust, in fact I actively distrust companies like EA, ubisoft, and Activision because I have seen what they have done to gaming over the last 5 years and what they are still doing to it... I dont Like what See.

So why would I buy a game outside of steam? Steam has my friends, it has my games, its a well eastabished and highly polished platform, it has a huge catalogue, it's run by Valve and in sales you can get great deals, plus there are lots of great indie titles to be had.

I've never bought Mass Effect on steam anyway. Games I like I get the hard collectors copy of.

Yes, but with PC games if I can get them as a physical disk I probably will. Just something about having the disk and game box in my hand and having to put in the disk manually to make it work make it feel more real to me. I'm not entirely sure if that made sense, but my answer is yes, if Mass Effect 3 is not put on steam (Which is kind of a stupid move) I would buy it anyway.

I'm not preordering it and if I hear anyword of it coming to steam I will buy it, I liked the first two games and am dieing to continue them but I am getting BF3 and am going to see how that goes, if Origin is actually a good system, despite it's hilarious ToS. I will get ME3 eventually but not until its either on steam or cheap on Origin, BF3 is my only full price Origin purchase.
