I will most likely buy it though retail. Amazon or another on-line company. I prefer to have the physical disk for all new games that I buy.

I'm a pc gamer but I don't really understand this fascination with Steam and Origin and all that, these surely aren't the only places you people buy games?

Although I will install Origin if it's required to play, I'm not planning on buying anything from it.

No, regardless of platform.
I'm not a fanboy but I refuse to promote EA's business tactics of forcing people to use their service. I'm not missing out on anything if I don't play EA games.
You do know Valve uses the same tactic with their games 'forcing' Steam on you, but PC gamers still bend over and take it from them. Got to love that double standard some PC gamers have.
Yes
But unlike Origin, Steam won't delete your account if not used for two years (and I know that's a long time) and share your private information.

I'd of been willing to try out Origin if it weren't for those two things and EA didn't out right stop selling games on Steam, which is pathetic. I've personally bought games off of d2d as well, I just prefer Steam. I'm sorry but preventing people from buying from their preferred place, steam d2d, impulse, walmart, gamestop, etc is wrong & shouldn't be allowed.

Its not a double standard when people are given the choice of which service they want to use.

I wasn't going to buy it on steam anyway. I want a hard-copy of my ME3. Although with Origin raising it's ugly head I'm not sure if I will buy it in the end... =(

Well I bought physical copies of the first two games without steam so I'll have no problem getting the third game without it.
I'd much rather avoid all use of Origin though, but if I really have to install it just so I can play ME 3 then it'll be a risk I'll have to take

Honestly, I no longer care about the whole Origin thing. Its just another program that will be running in the background when I play certain games... Its not like my computer can't handle it, its not like its a massive download (like 30 MB?)... I personally don't see it as a big deal. Definitely not enough to stop me from buying games that I want to play.
Sums up my thoughts exactly.

I will be buying the game. I'm not all that picky with my distribution as long as I feel the game is worth it.

Also, why should Valve have all the fun...

I'm honestly not sure--to be honest, I'm waiting for a trilogy pack that includes DLC for the first games, but if that doesn't happen and ME3 isn't on Steam, I'll snag the first two from Steam and the third from retail.
