The idea sounds completely absurd to me, although my limited knowledge of zombies Medical science could be the cause of that.
Anyway, i hope this really works. Too many people are dying on the battlefield.

I like the idea. Of course, this all pails in comparison when you figure that research to stop soldiers getting shot would cancel this out completely.

(woo satire)

OK, can I first say great picture, I loved the RE films and Milla Jovovich is hot, but you should have used one of Jill Valentine in Resident Evil Apocalypse instead. Personally, I reckon Sienna Guillory is much better looking, to be completely honest.

Also, really interesting science there. If it works then it could be great not just for military medicine, but in hospitals all over the place too. I guess time will tell if it works. But if it does, it'll be brilliant.

I'm worried about the brain mostly (no pun intended) oxygen deprivation could cause sever brain damage, but they probably cant tell in rats clearly, so there moving to pigs witch are similar to us and the affects of oxygen loss could be better studied.

Heh, this could be quite useful. I only hope it never falls into the hands on the public, though...
Interesting.
I was thinking quite the opposite.

Just last week I read in my neurology book that hemmorhage-based strokes are nigh untreatable and almost always fatal. How about using the damn stuff to stop regular folks from dying? o_O Once again I'm saddened by the prevalence of military application over civilian use.

It was mentioned at the end of the piece that there would certainly be civilian applications for the technology. Like many things, it'd be developed by the military and work its way into public use.

That's actually a fantastically good idea, if you use that and the HemCon bandage you'd be set.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

I love the idea of my heart not beating for 10 hours. I'm not being sarcastic, I really like the idea.

Where do I sign to test this stuff?

Oh, come on.

Man-made zombies are always the result of some sort of medical breakthrough gone horribly wrong. A cure for cancer becomes the lifeblood of a new race of sub-humans. A toxin with regenerative properties becomes the T-Virus. Now this? You know, they used to think it was medically impossible to implant organs. You think re-animating a dead organism is impossible?

Give it a few decades. This is the first step.

Wait, doesn't your brain get damaged if there's no oxygen for it for like, 10 minutes?
After 10 hours, you'd really be a zombie.
Which is what the formula is for.
