Probably because people who don't support the XBone don't take it well when other people don't get their panties in a bunch over the same things they do.
A tangential piece of information which utterly fails to distract from both your hypocrisy and the fact that the Xbox One's "features" are objectively restrictive toward the consumer and thus fully deserve the outcry they've triggered. Nice try, though.

As long as there is even a possibility for MS to sell one single unit (even to employees for that matter) there is absolutely NO amount of vocal or textual outrage that is enough. As long as one jackov is out there that is happy and willing to screw every other gamer without even the common courtesy of a reach around by buying it, there is clearly still more work to be done and more MUST be said.

Its as simple as that. So if you have issue with hearing people complaining about it, then perhaps it is time to retract the head from where ever it is so that the sound of the reason people are trying to speak to you unmuffled. Perhaps if you can hear the message better it wont get lost and force those dissenting to have to repeat it. Thats why people keep repeating it, because there are still people willingly defending this abomination instead of their gaming brethren.

People just need to chill overall.

This is fucking ridiculous how personally people are taking other people's opinions. On both sides. Buy an Xbone or don't.

EDIT: To clarify, complain all you want but don't be a dick to other people. I'm almost considering getting one just to spite everyone who acts like it would be treason against universal order.

You know, this thread has inspired me. I think I'm going to go make a thread titled: "People need to stop bitching about telling people to stop bitching about bitching about the Xbox One!" I might even get a shiny forum badge from the wonderful discussion it will trigger!

LoL not tangential at all.

It's exactly why it sounds familiar to you. It's why anyone who's not up in arms is labeled as uninformed or casual, or whatever label the mob wants to apply.
...Due to the Xbox One's "features" being objectively restrictive toward the consumer and thus fully deserving of the outcry they've triggered. Something your argument might wish to address rather than focusing on the mere word "tangential."

Obligatory link:

OT: What it bothers me is that people talk as if Sony and MS are doing two polar different things when so far I can see only two relevant differences.

- The PS costs less and is a bit more powerful while at the price of not having a fun but limited gadget like the kinect.

- The Xbox is vulnerable to being DDoS bricked due the check system.

Besides that, as far as i have read, both leave DRM to publishers, xbox having one more tool to implement DRM which is not a big deal for me; xbox has a slightly better controller which is also not a big deal.

I personally find the whole kinect spying paranoia laughable and mostly based on a deep ignorance, but can see how the kinect can be creepy as fuck to some.

Hey...it's not a console war unless you have the two groups of morons that are willing to blindly be tools for their console's fat money-grubbing corporation.

:)

Yeah, I find the whole idea of connect kinect (Sorry, I have a tendency of wanting to spell things correctly) spying on us retarded too. Now I'm not a 100% about this, but what I've heard is it has to be on if my Xbone is to work. I mean...what if mine breaks? What if I lose it moving my Xbone from friend's house to friend's house. I don't want to get another one! There are just so many surmountable reason not to buy that console, I can't see any reason anyone would want to defend that system right now. Be open-minded about it is one thing, taking arms against a sea of trouble is another.

It's a pretty pathetic defense when people say "It's not that bad" or "I can live with it" Go check out MS patents about TV achievements and camera monitoring (ie, sees how many people are in a room, if more then a set limit, stops the system and requires you to pay for the extra body). Those are very scary if they decide to implement them.

People accepting horrible restrictions so they can play a shitty halo and gears of war game.

I'm not just sick of people bitching about the Xbox One, nor am I sick specifically of people defending it, though at this point to be honest I'm kinda sick of hearing about it at all, mainly because it's always so negative, at this point everything to be said for or against the Xbox One (I'm in the "against" camp by the way) has already been said

I think people are just bitching too much, period.
With E3 behind us, everyone has shown their hand already, so if someone didn't pay attention, and didn't spend 10 minutes researching what they're gonna buy, and go get an Xbox one, they bloody well deserve it. If they know all there is to know, and go out to buy the Xbox one, then nothing you or I or anyone could say that will stop them. And since it is safe to assume that 90-95% of the people buying the Xbox one fall into one of those two categories, if you're not about to buy an Xbox one, then the arguments either of the two parties present will have no weight what so ever.
At this point, no one's changing anyone else's mind. Everyone is convinced they are right, and everyone else is wrong, and knowing the gaming community, reason will not sway them. Bitching about people bitching about people bitching will not stop people from bitching about your bitching, therefore instead of decreasing the bitching you're adding to it. I'm sorry, but this thread is extremely counter productive to what the title lead me to believe your goal is.
When the loyalty people feel towards a console outweighs their loyalty to reason, I question their priorities. Loyalty beyond reason to another human being I can understand, but to a little (or not so little) box is beyond me.

Well, people are bitching a lot, because people love to *****. In real life we still love to *****, but we have to hide it because other people don't want to hear your bitching.

Of course, on the internet, you're not worried about "friends" or "not looking like a prick", so everybody bitches and bitches, into one big *****-fest and we get what we have now.

To be honest, there's plenty of good reasons the XBone sucks, and there's plenty of crappy reasons the XBone sucks that people complain about too much. I personally feel the hate-bandwagon has gone ultra-extreme, practically everything I see about gaming is "XBone sucks because-", followed by one of three VERY tired reasons.

People who support the XBone aren't upset that someone else doesn't. What gets old is the onslaught of misinformation, rumor, speculation and hyperbole involved, along with a heaping dose of elitism and stereotyping, with just a pinch of insult for flavor.
What "misinformation"? Almost all of the discussion surrounding the Xbox One has been due to precisely what Microsoft themselves have said at some point since the reveal. Most of the confusion involved is because Microsoft constantly contradicted many of it's own statements during the first 3 weeks after the Xbox One reveal. Now that E3's happened Microsoft has finally given definite answers to many questions as well as giving entirely new info that people have latched onto and sourced in their arguments.

On top of that, you yourself have done nothing in any thread I've seen you in but stereotype, insult, and strawman people's arguments. You keep accusing people of spreading misinformation, yet they quoted Microsoft reps directly and often will provide a source to their information if asked. You've also stated things that Microsoft has already proven false, such as when you stated that Forza 5 would be able to go without an online authorization for more than 24 hours, even though Microsoft has stated that no game at all will be playable after 24 hours without said authorization. Thus, you of all people have been spreading misinformation on the Xbox One.

I know I'm being rude here, but after seeing you constantly accuse people of lying without you backing up those claims as well as all the "It doesn't affect me, therefore nobody should be upset" arguments that you keep making, I can't help but get a little angry and call you out on this.

I'll agree on this - everything on the Xbox has already been said, at least until they make another statement that puts their foot in their mouths. Still, I don't see this going away anytime soon, especially with the aforementioned statements that they seem to make every few days as well as the Xbox One reaching at least ME3 levels of controversy (and we saw how long THAT lasted).

It seems to me that people are only defending the xbone to be different because really if you use logic it is the worse option (although im not buying the ps4 for a while anyway) and the people making it are giving a big fuck you to everyone concerned. I personally think the exclusives look awful and if someone mentions halo that franchise ended with halo 3 and now they are beating a dead horse that doesn't even resemble glue anymore.

Funnily enough, the guy that made that "people bitching too much about the Xbone" thread (me) never defended the system or had intentions to buy it in the first place.

Therefore lets just all say that he is ignorant and supports the system based on his displeasure around the way the game journalism isnt being as objective as journalism should be. That makes sense, right?

"Console Wars"

Some people treat there choice like a Sports team..like you support them through thick and thin, NO YOU DO NOT. Brand Loyalty is no good if the brand isn't loyal to you.
