I think people are just bitching too much, period.
With E3 behind us, everyone has shown their hand already, so if someone didn't pay attention, and didn't spend 10 minutes researching what they're gonna buy, and go get an Xbox one, they bloody well deserve it. If they know all there is to know, and go out to buy the Xbox one, then nothing you or I or anyone could say that will stop them. And since it is safe to assume that 90-95% of the people buying the Xbox one fall into one of those two categories, if you're not about to buy an Xbox one, then the arguments either of the two parties present will have no weight what so ever.
At this point, no one's changing anyone else's mind. Everyone is convinced they are right, and everyone else is wrong, and knowing the gaming community, reason will not sway them. Bitching about people bitching about people bitching will not stop people from bitching about your bitching, therefore instead of decreasing the bitching you're adding to it. I'm sorry, but this thread is extremely counter productive to what the title lead me to believe your goal is.
When the loyalty people feel towards a console outweighs their loyalty to reason, I question their priorities. Loyalty beyond reason to another human being I can understand, but to a little (or not so little) box is beyond me.
