People should seriously take a competence test before playing Left 4 Dead.

There are so many idiots on l4d. The worst kind I just met who kicked me for trying to claw away the generator they placed in the lift door. Its just not fair and its not even funny. And the guy who did all this, well, it looks like when creating a gamertag he had a fight with the caps lock button. I take offence if the quick match option pairs you with people of equal skill as that guy was one of the christmas tards (the kids who got l4d at christmas.) I miss the days before then when matches were interesting and more skill based.

No. I know you enjoy stereotyping to enlarge your persoanl ego but keep that stuff to yourself. All of my friends who play L4D on PC piss people off for the fun of it; for example, when someone needs help because they're pinned by a Hunter, they stand nearby and hum 'Popcorn' to the amusement of all who aren't directly involved.
My "personal" ego? Is that any different from my ego? Elongating phrases doesnt make you sounds clever, sry. And it is well known that consoles (especially Xbox) have quite a few more pre-teen dipshits than your average steam user.

And your friends sound XD RANDUM.

Don't be an ageist prick.
If he was having a go at someone on a Call of Duty game for being 16, that would be ageist. But being angry becuase someone who's 10 or younger is playing an 18 seems entirely justified. For a start, I can't imagine any 10 year old being able to play Left 4 Dead without screaming because of all the zombies and generally being irritating.

So much of this is true, except for that about age. I've actually had some quite proficient people on my team that couldn't have been over 13. But then again, I'm on PC.

Neither does criticising someone's post just because of some tiny detail which you've picked up on and have over evaluated just so you can get a false sense of moral superiority.

And it is well known that consoles (especially Xbox) have quite a few more pre-teen dipshits than your average steam user.
I've found idiots and pricks on every online game I've played. When I've played Left 4 Dead on Xbox Live, I've only found people who are reasonably intelligent and have been able to at least get to the end of the level in one piece.

And your friends sound XD RANDUM.
Random and annoying. As far as I can tell the only difference between the two groups of 'console tards' and 'PC tards' is that the PC guys do it on purpose.

Dear god, not the ageism again. It's a fair request to want players of a certain age in a game rated M. And in a game like this it's not quite as usefull to mute the tiny voices in my head as in a DM game. :p

Argh, two of my steam-friends were playing along with this younger dude. He was a bit err.. unexperienced, but we kept it going - until he blew up the entire fucking gas station after he alerted the horde, while we were still next to it!

If anything, doing something in a game that could actually happen in real life and kill you...well, I think capital punishment is in order.

And I'm glad my rant didn't fall on deaf ears. I thought I'd be called elitest, or called THAT GUY (from the ZP fanbase, obviously.)

For a team focused co-op game, you'd be much better off jamming with your buddies on XBL. People you know. I wouldn't leave my fun to chance.

I agree. I bought Left 4 Dead and if you don't follow the rules you pointed out, you're pretty much screwed. Thank you for making this thread, it's very important for people to read this before buying the game. It's not like Gears of War where you can just run in and kill everyone by yourself.

But the stupid people make it a more exciting experience... as long as you've only got 1 or 2 per party and they don't kill you by accident.
