I'm so sorry, I had no idea I was such a massive arsehole. I mean it, I now regret buying a pocket watch. It's not practical to any degree, and, honestly, what the fuck use is a bowler hat with badges and feathers stuck in it? My god, what a colossal twat I look like. Sorry again, folks.

Yes. This. I've dated a girl like this, and it gets annoying very fast. Poetry and whatnot. 'Random' things. Anecdotes about completely inconsequential antics with no climax. *shudder*

They're called scene kids, and it's better to just ignore them like we do with the emos.

"Go on, back in your corner! NOBODYLIKESYOU! Stupid emo...."

Hay, dont judge them, i like em a good amount. And no im not trying to be different, i acually do like them since i heard them like 5 years ago.

O.T. I'm a bit different, when someone asks for a volenteer and no one wants to do it then i raise my hand and say "Oh I'll do it" (in my special voice that i use). Like today in bike club (yes bike club) we had these "olimpics", it was just a series of challenges that test your skill on a bike. We had the slow race, which is where you had to go as slow as possible without going backwards, off the track, or put you foot down for the longest distance. The stopping on a dime contest, which is excacly and literaly what it sounds like, and the glide contest, which was we had to pedal to a certain point then glide as far as possible... up hill.

And finaly we had the paper boy challenge, which was we had to get rolled up peices of paper held in a paperboy bag and throw the highest amounts of papers into some buckets in 1 minute. You look increadably idiotic so no one wanted to go, but i was like Oh I'll do it, so i was first and got to look like an idiot but it was fun.

Also I hate most things that teenagers like so i seem different to them, aka rap, most hip hop, constant sex jokes, and a few others. These are things i hate by the way.

[sup]sorry for the rant type thing[/sup]

How dare someone express themselves through clothing and music; they should be crucified.

These people piss me off, not because I'm some bitter "normie," but because I truly am strange. No i don't wear weird clothes, or try to be loud and obvious about it. But I am.
Yet these people(mostly girls) who's goals are to be where I am, STILL dislike me for being a freak. No matter how hard they try, they hate true oddity just like 85% of people, yet they try to fool others and themselves into thinking they're some kind of oddball.
Thiiiiiiiiis is where you lost me. You aren't strange, you aren't "random", you aren't some special little flower. You are in the majority of people, the people who like to think they stand out from the crowd, but when everyone tries to stand out, the crowd just moves.

Also, there are three people in this (general) category who piss me off;

People who keep saying "I'm so crazy/mad/wierd!"
People who keep saying "I'm so evil!" aaand
People who keep going on about how "nonconformist" they are.

I once randomly slapped a guy round the back of the head when another person told me he was "evil". Apparently there's a difference between "evil" and "mean".
seconded.

i just generally hate when people state things about themselves with no provocation

thats probably because im so evil! *prepares for an e-slap*

These people piss me off. And I'm not talking about people who are different, or people who purposely stray off the beaten path in the interest of being creative.
I'm talking about those that try with all their might to be weird, simply for the SAKE of it. The obnoxious cutesy girls who wear knee high rainbow socks, and listen to almost different but still pretty mainstream music, who try to draw and play guitar and right poetry but aren't really good at it, and just come off as colorful emos.

Ya random i know, just signed up yesterday, figured I'd kick off with a rant. I prolly come off as pretentious but watever *shrug*
These are the same people that spout shit like "i liek pie" (misspelling intentional) in an attempt to be "random lol". Theyre the kind of people who aggravate me just with their mere presence because they have no idea how to control the volume of their voice or how to shut the fuck up. I hate those people.

I have no problem with people who try to be different, trying to break the mold if you will.

I'm annoyed, however, when people who try to be different think they're better than everyone else because they're "different."

Is it because those colourful emo chicks won't sleep with you?
This sounds pretty likely.
How am I ever going to post anything if you people keep on ninjaing me?

Goths always dress as they do because they claim they want to stand out from the norm, but walk into Glasgow Central Station on saturday at about 3.30 and all you will see is rows and rows of goths who look as if they've stepped off of the production line.

Wow I come back like 5 hours later and there's responses.
Maybe this wasn't the best written post, I was just in an annoyed mood this morning for a number of reasons and felt like letting off steam, and I'm banned from my other forum at the moment.
And no, I'm not annoyed because they won't sleep with me, I'm annoyed that 1. They're trying too hard and 2. Even though they strive to be weird, they still hate me for my brand of weird.

Overall though I think this was a waste of a thread, and in hindsight I should have just stuck to reading and replying to other things that aren't as retarded.

the best and most socially-accepted form of different-ness is the "Don't care" camp, who don't give a damn about popular culture, fashion or music, and are accepted because it's cool to not care.

Me being part of this group does in no way make my views biased

Just remember, the people that proclaim the most loudly that they don't care what others think of them are the ones that care the most.

The thing about non conformacy is, if you follow it, that makes you a comformist. Don't let these people get to you unless their attempts at being weird are incredibly loud and you're completely unable to ignore them. Just slink on down to a different hallway.

They are awesome. I even have several pairs of them.

Anyway, everyone wants to be different or odd.

I don't think that someone wearing certain types of socks, listening to a certain genre of music, play guitar or attempting to write poetry means they're trying to be different. Maybe that's just what they're in to.

When everybody tries to be different, all they are essentially achieving is being the same as everyone else. I do agree with the point of people constantly saying that they are different or special or whatever.
