People who type "cumming" in texts and over IM, and other such things

I got to go with this and possibly add that it comes from that part of their brains that make them giggle when they hear the word 'do' twice in a row, the word boob or any similar variant.

Of course the irony here is that the ability to read sentances that are spelled wrong/creativly/oddly requires a much better grasp of language than reading a sentance with proper spelling and syntax

I all seriousness, people stopped doing that in Middle School where I lived I remeber the rule used to be you must spell at least one word wrong when updating your MySpace or your not cool. God, I do not miss Middle School at all. Now I don't text because I'm somwhat of a social reject but I think if you wrote "cumming" where I lived you'd just get laughed at,these are people who burst out laughing when they discovered that "Virginia" contained the word "Virgin"

I don't feel like I have anything to add to this thread really. Like so many have said before, they think it's funny/cute/"sexy" and such... Since I'm not a native english user I try to keep my grammar as correct as possible, and...

Its becuase people think being immature is funny. End of discussion. Sure its stupid, but so are some people.

What annoys me is my friend using the word "pre" as in, "thats pre cool". Instead of saying "that's pretty cool", it's "thats pre cool". What the hell...

I never understood text speak at all, talking in an actual language is a lot easier than trying to mimic one that is constantly changing and one that ultimately makes no sense at all.

People are idiots? In txts I'll use "u" and misspell words to shorten them because it takes a long time to type on a numpad and there's a character limit, but making a word longer makes no sense to me. Then again neither does twitter and lots of people use that as well.

If it's somebody I know, I might abbreviate words...I'm definitely guilty of using "tmrw" when I don't feel like punching in "tomorrow" (even spelled correctly!)...but ONLY, ONLY in texts.

On the Internets, I always use proper spelling and punctuation. Unless I'm trying to be sarcastic/funny and then I'll go OMFG ROFLSAUCE WTFBBQ U HAXx0R NoOb.

I can uber-leet with the best of them.
