Unless the tactics are actually cheap and broken, I like dealing with spammers. They're easy to beat once you figure out how to counter their move.

I don't normally have a problem with it unless its an unblockable attack that you don't have enough time to get up and away from it before you're hit again.

I know someone that spam moves in fighting game. We used to be friend... whenever he liked it. Anyways, he always play Ken and Guyle on Street Fighter and he's incredibly cheap and proud of it. He even said out loud that SF3 Third Strike is shit because if you block at the right time, you can negate cheap damage. What did i do... i learn how to play Cammy effectively. She's the only character that can move without being caught in a barrage of Sonic Boom or Haduken. When i play, I Sonic drill my way to his face before making him my b*tch .Now, he says that i'm a F'ing cheap bastard. So here's a little revenge. Do what you will with the info.

[HEADING=2]His name is Pierre-Etienne Desbien (the_age_of_mystic_ice@hotmail.com). He live in Quebec city, Canada and spend more time on World of Warcraft then caring for his little daughter.[/HEADING]

As a great quote

"I'ts like i know every god damn move in the book and he keeps hitting the A button"

As for answer to this yes a lot of people do this. I have a friend who beat entire marvel vs capcom on the hardest difficulity on the first try only because he can hit all the buttons incredibly fast and knew none of the combos speical moves etc he just hit the buttons and typicaly something happened

Spammers are funny. So easy to counter. Take Ice Caring Jin players in Blazblue. Since they'll always Ice Car you can just counter on block and punish.

Especially if you play Tager. :3

Though this strategy works for any spammer. Just study the spamworthy move and learn the counters, it's not hard.

I remember versing my friend at Street Fighter 4 one time first match he went as Zangeif and spammed his cyclone punch attack so as soon as I got up I was knocked back onto the ground. Second match he played as Dhalism and spammed his stretchy punch attack nonstop. Third round he spammed Blanka's electrical attack for the entire match. Fourth match was my fist to his face which I won.

I dislike it when people whine about it more, people used to complain when i would play mitzerugi in SC4, saying I was spamming when I really wasn't (alot of his moves look the same, also he kept doing the same downward trust move with raphiel). When people do spam it is a bad stagey that only beets new players, it is easily countered.
To be fair, Mitsurugi is the most unbalanced character in the game. I sometimes lose to a level 1 Mitsurugi because his moves are really hard to block online. And people do tend to spam with him (though I don't know your play style, so I won't pass judgement on you).

I use Seong Mina, an online rarity.
Yeah after the complaints I just switched Cassandra, I had been using Mitsurugi and Cassandra since 2 so is just what Im used to. Lately though Ive been playing with mina as my main also, which was odd sense she was my worst in 2.
