Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs

I love this album to death, but do you really like every single song on it? I can never sit through that terrible jazz number.

While I agree that there are some bad songs on it, I think Merritt was probably quite clued into that fact and very few of the bad songs last more than 1 minute. Also, considering it is 69 songs, the number of duds is very small.

While I guess you could argue that this doesn't make it a perfect album, as the bad songs could have been better songs, its still possibly my favourite album of all time.

I love you for putting that, but it couldn't be 'perfect' to me, but damn close.

I was lucky enough to see them when i was about 7 or 8. First concert I ever went to.

Spoiler: Bad Religion - Stranger than Fiction

Funnily enough, of the three Bad Religion albums I own I think that is the blandest. The only song I care for is 21st Century Digital Boy. Why do you like the album so much? (I'm just curious, not trying to ridicule your opinion. Added this just incase it came off as being dick-ish).

I wouldn't say they were perfect, but I am of the opinion that the Gorrilaz albums are really good. Some of the songs don't stand up individually but if you listen to the whole album I can understand why they are there.

It's probably to do with the fact that it is the album that got me in to BR. I do love all their other stuff though and their latest album would be up there if it wasn't for one song. (I don't say anything)

Most "perfect albums" I know of are greatest hits albums. Even one of my favorite albums of all time, Far by Regina Spektor, has one song I don't like.

Oh, how could I forget...

Don't bother looking them up if you haven't listened to them before. I bought that album on vinyl and the digital version sounds awful compared to the beauty of vinyl.

That album is so close to perfect, but then I remember "Blake's Got A New Face" and I remember how horrible that song is.
