It hasn't properly made it's way around the net, yet. It has only been three days since the first episode released.FaceFaceFace said:What's the status of this, by the way? Did it just come out?

Looks like it. According to the site linked in the OP the next episode is due on Oct 13.FaceFaceFace said:What's the status of this, by the way? Did it just come out?
They didn't have weapons at this point in the game (well, this chronological point, they did when the first battle really happened), so they may still use them. Even if they don't, though, from how MC moved around during the fight I could see Chie motioning the martial arts for her Persona to do them, forcing her to still actually know how to fight. I'm actually really excited to see how they'll execute the various parts of the game in show form.DanyoSouth said:PERSONAlly(bad pun i noe), I think I'll give it a few more episodes. I love the music in the show because it makes you want to play the game again. Also, I love the day transitions, as well. The problem I find is the rushing, which isn't a bad thing and it is completely understandable, but its seems that the kids won't be fighting with their weapons, which is a bad thing cause it kinda kills chie's character but we'll see. BTW tutorial fight scene was really well done
Well in the show's defense, the game was light on the explanation as well. You can't expect the plot to be spelled out for you since half the game was the main cast coming to grips with how the shadow world and murders work, I assume the show will take the same route and pile on the mystery early and explain it later.Kalikin said:It's very much something that's aimed at fans of the game, since that episode explained pretty much nothing. Hopefully it won't fall into the same trap the the Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works movie fell into, where it just expects everyone watching to know what is going on without any reasonable attempt to explain. It really could have used a double episode to begin with, like Fate/Zero got.
Sticking too close to the source material (which I'm not a HUGE fan of, but definitely enjoyed) will be great for the fans but limit its potential as a stand-alone work... But I'm remaining generally optimistic for it.
I think I'll love you forever for that : DTakeyB0y2 said:The switch as to how and when Izanagi awakened was... Interesting o.o
Only thing is it skips quite a bit of information that you get from the game, but then again they kinda just compressed 2 hours into half an hour sooo, can't really blame them.
Oh, also, in case anyone's region blocked, the first episode was uploaded to youtube as well:
This is very true, even in the game they were kind of like, "Whoa, you were nearly sucked into the TV? Awesome let's go try it again." There are just certain things you have to accept until either you get used to it or it's explained. Hopefully that won't work against the show for people who are watching it weekly (where of course with a game you can continue for as long as you like). I'm extremely interested to see how they're going to balance to social side and the actual rescues.Drakmeire said:Well in the show's defense, the game was light on the explanation as well. I can see that, but all in all the battle was well done. Anyways what do you think about the MC? Since in the game he is traditionally a blank slate. I kind like the direction they went with since Yu Narukami doesn't talk very much, but didn't you think he look semi evil in that fight scene lolFaceFaceFace said:They didn't have weapons at this point in the game (well, this chronological point, they did when the first battle really happened), so they may still use them. Yeah, I really like how he basically only talks in nods and short answers to people's questions (like the answers available in the game). His actual personality will be another interesting thing to watch develop, though. I agree, he looked pretty happy to be able to rip things apart with demonic powers, and he complained to himself about being stuck in Inaba, so we'll see. Hopefully they don't give him a flawed-enough personality that he seems like he should have had a shadow.DanyoSouth said:I can see that, but all in all the battle was well done. A youtube link has been posted. Check the 14th post!SupahGamuh said:Well, considering how much this website loves Persona 4 and also Extra Credits talked so much about it and I don't have a PS2, I'll certainly give it a watch.
Also, I don't mind reading subtitles, they're very common in my country, also I'm a snob for hearing the original audio track and not some crappy dub version of it, but on the other hand, we have amazing voice actors and great translations in my country, but I still prefer watching it with the original voices.
Where was I?... oh!, yes, clicking that link.
EDIT: Damn it, I hate when my IP is blocked and I can't watch a video >.<'
Sadly, I still can't give my opinion.
