Yep, so after the Spin-off Chibi announcement for 3DS, the Dancing Game for the Vita, and Arena 2 for PS3 we now know that Persona 5 is coming to the PS3 in Winter of 2014!

GET HYPED!

See, I would get hyped, but the Winter 2014 release will be in Japan. Which means add on another few months for the US, and then maybe another year/year and a half to that for us in Europe. So no hype from me until there is a EU release date in sight.

My emotions went on rollercoaster for the duration of whole livestream. First I was excited, then I got confused, then I was super annoyed, then I was heartbroken, and heartbroken again, and heartbroken one more time... but then... the moment that 5 appeared on screen, it was almost a religious experience... So beautiful.

3DS game - looks terrible

Arena sequel - cool, already knew about it

Dance game - Fucking disgusting

Persona 5 - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

EDIT: Having rewatched the trailer for the 3DS game, I'm actually on board with it. It looks kind of cool.

I hit my head against my bed sheets after the announcements. I seriously lost all faith in Atlus and then... the 55:555...

Persona 5... It was like a light shined upon from the heavens... Finally. XD

Seriously, I honestly was thinking for a second staying up till 7:10 AM as of this post, would have been a waste.

I can dig just about every game they announced.

Even would have been fine without the 5 announcement just for the delicious tears (I'm sorry guys, it's just amusing to me how riled up people get over Persona 5).

Then again, I'm quite happy with the announcement myself. That and I can probably dig the 3DS game and Arena 2 with whatever stupidly long title they gave it. The dance game is...ehhhh, but I easily ignore it. No biggie.

I'm still hyped, but living in the UK I know it will wear off by the end of the day. I'm SERIOUSLY excited for Persona 5 and Arena 2, but we'll probably be waiting till 2015 for Persona 5 and after the sales of Arena 1 (Which was entirely Atlus' fault to be fair), who knows if we'll ever get Persona 4 Arena here?

2015? Damn you're optimistic. The PS9 will be out and all PS3s will have been wiped out in a great war before we get our hands on P5.

It's weird that they're doing the P4 thing again, which is releasing a game for a last gen system a year or two into the new system's life cycle. I guess the logic is that people still have their PS3's and the PS3 user-base will still be way larger than the PS4 for years to come, but still. You'd think it wouldn't be that difficult, and would be worth it to port the game to a newer system as well.

Okay, here's a few things:

1. Persona 5. Woot. That is all.

2. Persona 4 Arena 2. Double Woot. That is all. No, wait. Adachi too. Hoped he'd get in on the act this time.

3. Persona Q. Interesting. Need to see more gameplay. Hopeful.

4. Persona 4: Dancing all Night.

...
...
...

Look, okay, I can understand the hate that's gonna get thrown at this thing. But honestly? I don't think it'll be that bad. The Persona series has some of the best game music of all time. Making a rhythm game around it doesn't seem that bad of an idea. I don't have a Vita, but if I did, I'd pick it up. Maybe not on launch day, but I'd pick it up.

But yeah, with all this Persona on the horizon, my iPod is gonna explode from all the new music that's gonna get loaded on it.

I am super excited for literally all of those announcements. The one thing that sucks is that Japan won't get it until winter, which means we won't get it until 2015 at best, and by then It would just be easier for them to port it to playstation 4. I'm excited about the others though. The rhythm game looks cute, and arena 2 is great. I am super excite for the 3DS game though. Glad I own all of those consoles then.

PERSONA 5 WHEEEEEEEE!

I actually think the 3DS game looks really good. The chibi character designs are so cute!

EDIT: Backing that up, Personas 3 and 4 had some of the best turn-based combat mechanics in the genre. If this spinoff game has similar gameplay but a more lighthearted story, I'm down.

ALSO PERSONA 5 EEEEEE

Persona 5, get HYPE. But then I was living in Europe. I'm still waiting for SMT IV Atlus! I will simply pray that it'll get a world wide release.

So what's the theme going to be? Looking at the ball & chain stuck to chairs thing, and the whole "You are Slave" Engrish, are we looking at a darker game like P3?

Persona Arena 2: Wait, Minazuki doesn't HAVE a Persona? What the hell IS that kid? Also I'm wondering what Adachi's appearance will mean.

Persona Q: Interesting take on the franchise. Since it's by the Etrian Odyssey guys I can expect the dungeon crawling to get even more involved. Just being EO with a Persona skin is fine by me

Rhythm game: Eh, it's ultimately harmless

Persona 5: So, the theme is going to be about slavery? What the hell does that entail? I expect the news for this will be pretty piecemeal considering how it's not going to be out for a whole year and how the mainline series is very story-centered

I've always felt that Atlus were one of the better Japanese companies with their international releases. Apart from Arena of course.

Wasn't P4:A the only PS3 game to be fully region locked? I really hope they don't do it with P5 so I can just import it from America. However, due to Nintendo we're at the mercy of Sega with Persona Q.

I really like the look of PQ, but I can happily wait for that one. But yeah, I really hope they don't region lock Persona 5. I would pay so much money to import it from America.

My bet is that he's a character, or even the MC of P5. Seeing as he's got the red hair and he seems to be wearing some sort of prison outfit. As for Adachi, I'm just happy he's in. I'd be even happier if we got Dojima with Nanako as his persona.
