I've got double-jointed thumbs!
Good things about it is that I kick ass at thumb wrestling, it helps me pull off some strange combos with various games and it's a good conversation starter if I'm feeling lonely/bored at a party and need someone to talk to until someone I know shows up.
Downside is that it makes carrying things a little tricky, sometimes they pop out of place (it's completely painless when they do) and has the basic affect of opening my hands, so, naturally, gravity likes to take things from me quite often. They also cramp up sometimes in weird positions (this isn't painless, it actually hurts quite a lot)if it ever happens to both of them at the same time (it's rare, but it happens) then I have to physically find a hard surface to push them against until they pop back into place.
On balance, though, I like that I can do it. I've gotten used to the cons and the pros, and learned to live with them.
