Don't you idiotic gamers know how many polygons were slaughtered to make Mario's suit!?

Seriously though PETA have gone from "rambling old man" to "crazy homeless guy" and have now officially crossed over to "shit smearing mental patient". I know this is just some goon thinking up any reason to stir up some delicious controversy, but the second you go from trying to save baby seals to a fictional character's raccoon suit, the phrase "any publicity is good publicity" no longer applies, all it does is turn away potential PETA followers and makes anyone unfortunate enough to be members look even crazier to their non PETA friends/family, I no longer find this funny, I just feel sorry for PETA members who joined PETA for noble reasons and are now being destroyed by their own group because of some insane cry for attention.

well wtf I played their stupid mario ripoff for 2mins and you also get an animal suit in the same way mario does (AKA not from an animal). That makes their whole argument hyprocite.

rather than targeting Mario, why not target the people that actually skin animals alive? why does PETA pretend to find these issues important while they do nothing to help.

For the first time on my time on the internet, I actually really facepalmed. This is just laughable.

I have said it before and I will say it again: PETA is insane. I simply do not understand how a reasonable person can say this stuff.

I kinda feel like PETA really jumped the gun here. They do know that this is a VIDEO GAME, a medium of fictional entertainment, in which a plumber travels through a magical land of giant lizards and mushroom people to save a princess right? Man, I just can't stand PETA...

PETA is not even trying to be taken seriously anymore. It's bad enough you'd swear they were a front for an opposing group designed to mock real groups who care about animals.

The author said the tanooki suit is disturbing if you think about it, but you'd have to have a pretty sick mind for your mental train to even end up there in the first place.

Seriously, they saw the digital pudgy animal costume vaguely referencing tanooki features and;
1) assume the digital costume represents the fur of a (digital?) tanooki
2) assume the digital hero is supporting the real world tanooki fur market on the sly
3) devote however much time and energy to develop a propoganda game that reinforces gory twisted imagery that didn't exist IN TIME for the real game's release, WHICH even for a small game, pretty much had to been in the works the moment the tanooki suit was first rumored.

Right now, Defenders of Wildlife are struggling against lawmakers and their supporters who want to shoot wolves on sight in Wyoming. Greenpeace is working to tear down Japan's abuse of the hunting whales "for science" loophole. PETA made a game perverting the imagery of Mario wearing a pudgy animal costume.

Well this is just patently ridiculous. Comrade Mario is the hero of the proletariat [http://nedmartin.org/v3/amused/communist-mario], he'd never be found wearing the quilt of the our capitalist oppressors!

So they ignore that fact that Mario's literally been vaporizing turtles for years (koopas), but get angry over an animal suit you get from a leaf.........LOGIC!!!

That flash game was supposed to be an attack on mario? Damn, I though it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen.

In all seriousness, PETA has funded domestic terrorist groups and is responsible for more animal euthanasia than any other group in the US. They are hypocrites and treat people like shit.

The only thing they have done I like is getting good looking women to stand naked in front of high-end stores... seriously we need more nude protesting... but they have to be good looking...

They should just stick to the advertisements of beautiful people being naked. Those are always accepted well!

OK, you know what. I didn't care. I didn't care PETA. But now, that you've gone after Mario, it's personal. Can we get a hacker to replace their website with a video of people smiling huge grins eating live animals looping? Please?
