To make a lot of money. Is that really so hard to figure out?

Maybe it's so bad it's good?

Doesn't matter, no one would go see it with me to even check it out.

There used to be a free for patrons Spider-Man musical at Universal Studios Hollywood. It followed the movie plot line to a T.

I just remember laughing my ass off as the thugs who tried to rape Mary Jane sang "She Bangs" by Ricky Martin and Spider-Man danced through them to save the day.

The Green Goblin sounded like a German death metal vocalist, and shot fireworks everywhere.

Wait... This is real? O_O

JHC, I thought this was a gag. I never would have thought anyone was stupid enough to really make this thing.

Wow. Just, Wow.

If I kill myself, and in the suicide note, blame it on the Spiderman Musical, and they cancel it, I feel that my death would have made the world a better place.
But sometime later some corporate idiot will convince someone to rehash it to make money off it and then ill probably join you -w-

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I want to see this now. It seems like such stupid corny fun. Plus I love when people are pissed off at stuff so I might just go see it for the luls and then claim that it is the one true spiderman canon whenever the opportunity arises.

Sorry but this looks awesome.

And as with any musical, will live or die on the strength of it's performers and musical numbers.

I get the feeling very few of the commenters here have ever seen a musical in their life...

Addendum: the pictures don't even look real, at first I thought it was a film because I couldn't see how they could have those sorts of things in a theatre. If it's like an hour long spiderman themed acid trip then I cannot see how anyone can complain.
I didn't realise that the part of High School Musical people objected to was the "Musical" bit, I assumed it was the "High School".

Also it's a theatre run, so I don't know how much it costs over the sea for you guys to go, but they tend to wring a lot more per customer then a film does, meaning much smaller audiences are needed.

Well this is the dumbest idea for a musical I've hears since the fictional Planet of the Apes Musical of The Simpsons:

"This play has EVERYTHING"

We can ***** and moan all we want, but if we had the chance we'd still see it, if only out of morbid curiosity.

I just saw the musical trailer, that looks preetty awesome to me, maybe not in the traditional spiderman way, but in the awesomme, surreal way that a high budget musical should. I actually really really want to see this
