I personally can't stand "woot". It always sounds like the person using it is full of themselves, smug, and it makes them sound like asshats. It actually sounds socially awkward to me.

Also, "meh". A word invented for insipid, lazy people.

when people say bestie or devo.......... I die inside so much
Never heard anyone say devo outside of my job. I work at Best Buy, and all the stuff that gets returned by customers is called devo. It's an acronym that- in this case- stands for Defective Equipment Void of Operation. When it kills you inside, how is it being used? It makes no sense to me.

Back on topic, I want everybody who uses the word "Fail" to die. Slowly. I cannot stand it when people use that word as a sentence, and it doesn't even fit the word!

Example: I'm wandering around Best Buy, not paying attention. I accidentally kick one of our floor displays of something a bit, one or two of them move an inch. Three people say, "Fail!" Half a second later, my boot has returned the products to their original place.

Die.

Be right back, fetching my shotgun.
This. Makes me want to hurt myself to make pain stop....

TW-The use of "btw" or "tmi"in an actual conversation. It will produce spoon stabby action from me.

I pretty much hate every word that they've tried to make sound manly.... like "bromance" and "manscaping"... though I think "mantastic" isn't so bad.

fantabulous. Its the first word in the paragraph and it doesnt deserve a capitol letter.
why so serious. Theres a reason im serious.
same difference. Makes no fucking sense.

Thats all i can think of.
You just reminded me of a thing that I hate far too much for it to be healthy... mis-spelling the word capital. It has an A in it, not an O.

Sorry.

When people say "What?" constantly, not because they can't hear me but because they just like hearing things repeated. "'What' ain't no country I ever heard of! Do they speak English in What!?"

"Needless to say". If you don't need to say it, why the fuck are you?

When people yell "Fail", especially about things that are completely visible to everybody else. Goddamn that drives me nuts. No, you moron, we all think its a stunning success because we all saw it, no need to point it out to us poor blind folk.

I also despise when people say they're "random". No, you're not. You intended to do it.

uhm when someone says "chill", not the "hey you wanna chill at my house", but the "yea man he's pretty chill.
Actually, 'chilling' stands for abusing mind-altering substances in my dictionary. (Or to put simply, 'getting high as a kite').
Probably because nary a person uses 'chill' anymore.

"I could care less". It is an error, plain and simple, but so many poeple don't realise. What? Are they saying that they do in fact care, so much in fact that they could afford to care a bit less about it? I can see it now. "I could care less, but it's just too damn awesome!"

"I couldN'T care less" is the expression. I don't mind changes and shifts in meaning. Our language perhaps 70% based on mistakes, misuse and so on. However, this one better not become the norm.

And also, "fail" has to go, because everybody that uses it as intended, has not a single notable acheivement under their belt. It is yet another example of Me Mentality - "you fail because you are here to please me".

Oh and, I just finished reading a great Aussie book called - don't laugh -, Word Watching. It is a philology and etymology book about English and is very entertaining. Yes ... I said 'very entertaining'.

Cool beans. Unless somebody can tell me some adorable story about how this abortion of a phrase came to be, just stop it. Stop it right now.
"Cool beans: the expression stems from the 1890's when the Boston Beaneaters, the predecessors of today's Red Sox"

"Should of".

I can't explain how much this irritates me.
Isn't that just a case of someone mistaking "should've" as "should of" ?
Could of, should of, would of, didn't. ;) Poeple really think that that's the way.

"Douche", "douchebag", any spoken form of internet speak such as "lol" or "wtf", "bro", "awesome", "lame", "cash", "fag" and "k".

Also anything spelled incorrectly on purpose.

Not to mention "epic" and "fail" have lost all meaning.

Edit: "Meh" fucking riles me up like nobody's business.

Aha! Ever seen the House M.D. Valley girl sketches? Cuddy and Cameron start talking like that using medical terms and such... I found it quite funny.

I've never seen that before. That is awesome. In a cringeworthy kind of way.
