Maybe I got the name wrong but I mean the website with the stupid pictures of cats with captions written in overly-cutsey-wutsey dialect. It is a plague upon the Earth, second only to 4Chan or whatever the hell it's called nowadays.

Anyone who uses internet speak in real life.

I remember last year when I was cleaning out my locker, the hall was almost empty. Then this group of four girls and two guys come walking down the hall. I start to hear them but continue with my business. The girls are all giggling and are talking about god knows what. The guys looked completely uninterested and bored. That's when I hear one of them shout 'THAT'S SO FUNNY! LOL!'. I stood there for a second wondering if I heard correctly and the other shouts 'I KNOW! LMAO!'. They passed me and I dropped the book I was holding. A little bit more of my faith in humanity died that day.
Yeah, I absolutely hate hearing iternet speak in real life, it just bothers to no end and it is why I hate most of the cellphone commercials on tv. Also Leetspeak needs to die a horrible death because nobody can understand what it the person is typing unless they look really hard at it.

I will physically strangle any person who uses the phrase "At the end of the day..." when not referring to something they do before they go to sleep or just before dusk.
And at the end of the day, it was all better.

Lol, that was fail.

Personally what pisses me off is people that can't type for shit

EWWWWWWWWWWWW.

'The cake is a lie' or any other overquoted line from the Orange Box. ESPECIALLY when you see them scrawled across the bathroom walls. Or 'Why so serious'. That's been overdone to the enth degree.
Most iternet memes are really bad if constantly quoted without being in context to anything, I think the worst are Its Over 9000 and This is Sparta, those two quotes make me want to strangle someone for using them too often.

Not many phrases are that bad, except "baller shot caller" I don't even know what it'ssupposed to mean. and calling things "the shit" shouldn't that be a negative thing? What really annoys me is when people abbreviate their words, like they just say "brb" or "lol" why not just say it. Or Laugh???

"Noob" (in all of its permutations), "epic", "fly", "uber", "homie", "son/boy", "retard"...I could go on. But as for phrases, it's gotta be "[insert country] sucks!!1!!!1!".

C'mon, fellas. On the internet, who cares what your nationality is. We can all be civil and leave politics to our respective capitals. If you want politics, you're on the wrong site.

Everyone uses epic to describe something. It has lost all meaning.

Also, I am sick and tired of people saying "the Cake is a Lie".

Fudgo said:
"We're no strangers to love..."
"You know the rules, and so do I!"
"I've got no commitments, that I'm thinking of.

In a narrative voice:
"And at the end of the day, he found them. It was around noon."

I used to hate "dude". It was one of my biggest pet peeves, but when I moved to LA, everyone used it, at least a little bit.
So I started using it when I was with my friends in an over-exaggerated manner but not explicitly comical to make fun of them. I started using it a lot, just to make fun of them and show them how stupid they sounded.

But after a few years, I was using it all the time. I got desensitized to them saying it and my subtle shaming of their use of the word dude never seemed to register with them, or if it did, it didn't stop them from using the word dude. Now I use it all the time.
And oddly, I'm not ashamed that its a part of my vernacular.

Duuuudde. Harsh.

But I think you're absolved from shame for your usage of that word- because you actually used the word "vernacular", which I think is one of the coolest words out there. And you showed us that you have an exponentially greater vocabulary than the stereotypical user of the word "dude".
