Pi * 1337% = 42. My mind is blown.

"Their favourite prey appears to be web-building spiders between 10% and 200% of the Portia?s size."

Holy shit. I'm scared....those things are smart and hunt things way way bigger than themselves 0_O

And now I'm imagining an army of super-smart spiders using tiny rifles....

That's simultaneously very scary and very AWESOME.

OT: When I learnt about everything, all solid matter etc., actually being 99.9 )or 99.99 I forget)% empty space. I still can' get my head around it.....

Someone mentioned to me today that 1337% of Pi = 42. Sure enough, I ran the numbers and to two decimal places, Pi * 13.37 = 42.00.

For Discussion: Share something that when someone said it to you, you were like "really?" then you found out it was true and you were like "holy shit."
Dude, no, it makes 42.003093778495535598245542034447 silly!
for your information, only the first 2 digits after the decimal count. so its 42.00.

and yea I know its sarcasm. Im just being a dick.
You're not being a dick, just ensuring that correct proceedure regarding significant figures is being followed through. Significant Figure Nazi?

If you make a tunnel through the earth, going though the center, and jump...
It would take 42 minutes for you to Reach the other side, if the only forced used it gravity... Aaaaand if you are in vacuum...
but if you jumped to the other side wouldnt you just fall strait back though and then keep falling infinitly back and forth thinking about this just made the back of my head explode
Only if you are not Spiderman... So no worries!

Unless you aren't Spiderman ofc...

When youtube came out that was pretty mindblowing. For so long video had been an oddity on the net. Also when h264 came out and actually went mainstream. Damn mpeg2 nonsense.

O+P+T+I+M+U+S = 15+16+20+9+13+21+19 = 113 is a Prime number; Optimus = Prime.

I saw that on the Twitrars and my mind exploded right then and there.
i think mine just did, did Hasbro intend that? =|

My mind got blew Yesterday, i was watching some Power Ranger stuff (Cause I'm a big kid ^_^)

Can anyone Remember Adam Park? The guy who Replaced the original Black Ranger Zac?

This guy

Well, Adam was in Mighty Morphing for a while, then Zeo, Then Turbo for a bit before the cast was changed again...he then once appeared as a cameo in the "Power Rangers in space" series...

This means he is the only character to appear in at least 1 episode, of ever series of Power Ranger under Sabans name...

Not the best mind Blowing thing, but for a Power Ranger fan, and not to have seen that when i was kid, my mind just poofed...

Division by zero is possible! And it breaks reality.
Given:
a=b
a[sup]2[/sup]=ab
a[sup]2[/sup]-b[sup]2[/sup]=ab-b[sup]2[/sup]
(a+b)(a-b)=b(a-b)
(a+b)=b
a+a=a
2a=a
2=1
Hmm... nope
2a=a :a
2=0

Think about this. (nerd science incoming)

All materials condense when they get colder, becoming more dense and sinking. This is especially true when they change state, say from liquid to solid.

EXCEPT WATER! Ice is the ONLY thing that actually expands and floats when it freezes.

The really freaky part? If this wasn't true then life as we know it would not exist! (water frozen in winter would sink and not be thawed by the summer sun, eventually causing all water to freeze)

So just remember: you wouldn't be alive except for one tiny little middle finger to thermal dynamics.
Water expands only once it starts to solidify, and can be kept a liquid far below it's freezing point if it is not allowed to expand. There are forms of ice that do not expand the normal 9% you see in your freezer as well. Ice can form with pressure. It's not the only thing that expands when it freezes either. Gallium, Bismuth, Antimony, and Silicon also expand when they freeze.

It is true that if ice sank in water rather then floating life as we know it wouldn't exist.
But what about wood...or witches, who are made of wood? How would we know who to burn?
You'll be needing a duck and some large scales.

Still pretty cool though i guess, i don't see any correlation between pi and the meaning of life however.
Life is circular.

In step 4, both sides are set to zero (a-b=0, so 0*each factor makes the equation 0=0). You don't divide the zero out. Hell, in step 3 you establish that a[sup]2[/sup]-b[sup]2[/sup]=b(a-b), which means 0 (a[sup]2[/sup]-a[sup]2[/sup] since a=b) = b*0 (a-a), therefore 0=0.

You fail algebra forever. My math teacher pointed this out to me when I was in second grade...so anyone who believes you can divide by zero is by definition not as smart as a second-grader.
"" My math teacher pointed this out to me when I was in second grade""

umm...are you a wizard? doing algebra in 2nd grade!!!

I was surprised to learn that dragon type was only weak to dragon type. It confused and infuriated me.
And ice type!

OT: Perhaps i'm missing something, whats the significance behind 42?

What blew my mind, was that the original black ranger was portrayed by a black dude....OH GOD! that's not possible!!! *BOOM*

then I learnt the original pink ranger was a prissy little cheerleader, the yellow ranger asian, the green ranger a nerd, and the red ranger a buff dude...it all just fit! perfectly! I went insane that day...And started talking to my own tongue.
