I have my reserve receipt for Duke Nukem Forever in a frame on my wall.
I should get one of those little red hammers like they have on axes and put
"Break Glass In Case of Game Release.

My SNES copy of Kirby Superstar, I loved that game! That was my absolute favorite SNES game.
From My current lineup, probably Mass Effect 1, that's my favorite game EVAR!

Rainbow Islands or Terry for Amiga can be considered as such games for me.

The original release of the original King's Quest. PC gaming would not be the same without it.
You two make me a bit happier than I was a moment ago.

My own history would probably be Quake, episode I (shareware) and Grimfandango.

I have a bunch of old greats lying around somewhere for the GBA - but what tops them all is my Morrowind bought in 2002.
Morrowind eh? Played it but the piece of history I have is Arena, or as it is sometimes called Elder Scrolls: Arena, released in 1994 by Bethesda. The one that started it all.

NES:
Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt
Super Mario Bros. 3
Megaman 3

GB:
Tetris (I know Tetris existed before this, but I think that GameBoy is what really launched the puzzle game)
Pokemon Red/Blue

N64:
Ocarina of Time
Goldeneye 64

PSX:
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Metal Gear Solid

PS2:
ICO
Shadow of the Colossus
Final Fantasy X
Ratchet and Clank (series)
Prince of Persia (SoT Trilogy)

Xbox:
Halo 1+2

PSP:
Dissidia: Final Fantasy (can anyone say Fanservice Perfected?)

Of course, I have other games, but I think these are the pieces that will be remembered.

I also have the CDs for Loom and 7th Guest, but I don't have a system that can run them, nor do I want to anymore...

Pokemon Blue/Yellow - first games in the second biggest games franchise in the world
You sure about that? Pretty sure red and blue were the first.

On topic, the oldest games I have are FFX, manhunt and shadow of Rome.

I think the first two could be future historic greats.
Red and Blue were, but they were all generation , got them and my Gameboy for my 5th birthday/Christmas (we were poor back then)

ooh! Manhunt, forgot that one! Pretty much set the bar for survival games, plus it gave Fox News something to talk about.

I have GoldenEye 64, I suppose that counts as gaming history. I also have TLoZ: OoC and a few other greats for the N64. And, of course, Super Mario 64. I also have Half-Life 2 along with both episodes, which are some of the greatest FPS' ever made.

I have Alone In The Dark on 4 floppy discs. AITD is the ORIGINAL survival horror and anyone who even begins to think of the words Resident Evil is a goddamn moron. Alone In The Dark was made in 1993, three years before RE1.
By any chance did your copy of Alone in the Dark come with the 'code book' that you needed to start the game? The one with inventory items that you needed to enter correctly in an attempt to have one game per household? I know I'm not describing it very well, but I remember my copy of AITD requiring a small blue book to play.

I have, in working condition (though, not all hooked up):
super nes
sega genesis
sega cd
sega saturn
sega dreamcast
N64
Wii
gameboy (original b&w)
nintendo DS (original old one w/ GBA slot)
Atari Lynx
xbox 360
Playstation 3

Of all of this, it's weird to think that people years from now might look back on the Wii and Nintendo's handhelds asthe most important pieces ... I'd probably say the Dreamcast was my favorite - you almost never knew what kind of of wacky game was coming out next.

I noticed that my Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) box is huge.
Isn't that because it came bundled with the Rumble Pak?

The oldest console I still have is the N64(having traded my NES and SNES games over the years)so I suppose the likes of Mario 64,Ocarina of Time and Goldeneye 64 are mine

A non-greatest hits version of Final Fantasy 7. With case. And manual.

And that's about it.
