Piercings

In light of me receiving my first piercing this week, I thought I'd commemorate the occasion with a thread about piercings.

I got the top (cartilage) of my left ear done, but I'm planning to get more. Next, I want one of those bars that goes across the top, through two holes (see here [http://z.about.com/d/tattoo/1/0/s/i/1/ear4.jpg]). Then, after that, I'll probably have something put lower down, in or near the lobe so my ear doesn't look too top heavy. I might get something in the other ear, too - but I haven't decided what yet. I'm also considering a lip piercing, too, eventually.

So, what piercings do you guys have? What made you decide to get them? Do you find a person with piercings more or less attractive?

Pics would be good, too. As long as its not, you know, a nipple ring or something >_<

I like some piercings, but not all.
As I said on wednesday, there's being interesting and unique and there's being a twat.

I hate the monstrously huge stretcher ear things. Not small ones, the kind where you can fit a coke can through an ear lobe. I also dislike people with lots of nose, lip and ear piercings. Some can look nice, others less so. If you want my opinion show me a pic and I'll tell you.

Some people can look nice with them, but as I said before, some people can look like utter twats. Well, that's what I decided after 3 hours in Camden Market.

I wouldn't say they look disgusting... but I don't see the point in them. Even on girls. Yes, they may look all shiny and nice sometimes, but really all a peircing does is cause a hassle in trying to maintain your hole in your... whatever you peirced and paying for new earrings or whatever to put in them.

Waste of money, time, and energy.

And I fucking hate needles... so that probably says a lot about why I won't be getting any peircings anytime soon, other than what was stated above

I used to have both lobes pierced and stretched the one to a 16mm hole, but closed it up like a year ago when I started getting tattooed and realised how much metal in my skin gets on my nerves lol. I still think some piercings look cool, especially nose rings (got a thing for them) but I much prefer the art of tattooing

I don't have piercings as it would make me look a bit funny.

Since you're a girl, I suggest a belly button piercing. That's an immediate turn on. ; )

I don't have piercings, never will (i think it is stupid for guys to have them) but I find it kinda hot if a girl has her lip or nose pierced along with "scene" hair, if you know what I'm talking about. I mean, If there is just a normal girl with a lip ring, it looks weird, but if you have a chick with, like, black hair and a big streak of red (or other color), then a lip ring or nose ring looks hot on them.

Recently a lot of my friends have started getting piercings, their lip, eyebrow, or bellybutton. I just don't see what's so great about it.

just joking, but for real, I'm always going to keep a "clean" body (devoid of tats or piercings) I'd just end up regretting it later. But what is your tattoo of?

I just don't like piercings or tatoos or anything like that. Just don't like them in my opinion and don't want to get any.
