they should make one, just one real good pirate action adventure with lush tropical islands and small harbor towns to explore and treasure to be found.

I also condone playing of monky island games, though the 4th was a bit of a let down

Pirates! Is the best single player pirate experience you can get if you match it with the incredible mod made for the game, that includes story lines like Jack Sparrow's younger life and several other characters
that said i am a former complete addict from Y!PP - Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates, and it is most definately the best MMO i have ever tried (and i have tried a lot) The puzzles are quite entertaining and with a bit of skill you can actually really stand out in this game, and achieve something that actually seems like worth your time
.. come on, who can't like the idea of leading a 60 man elite crew with intellectual individuals and be the king of the flag of 200 members that owns a little island, sets the taxes for the stuff there, can make buildings, attack other islands and so on?
And Y!PP is the ultimate in teamwork, you can attain next to nothing alone, and need to work together with the great community (apart from the occasional idiots that are naturally there too) but all in all it's a 10/10 game from my side, and addicted me through almost 2-3 years of my life.
That be said, yarr let us all celebrate the talk like a pirate day and be true pirates if only for a day! - Feel free to check it out me maties, i can almost promise, it be worth your while.
