Pirates are playing MW2 on steam alongside legitimate users that bought the game, thus proving yet again that "we screwed you over to stop the pirates" is always, always a big fat lie.

Oh, and they're using mods, too.

Well of course they are, VAC only issues bans at intrevals. It needs server side admins and authentication to prevent hackers/pirates.

They'll get their dues sooner or later, but it's going to take longer than you're used to.

Of course, them pirating the game is doing even more damage since it just shows the IW that PC gamers just aren't worth it. If these people are meant to be boycotting the game; they're not because they're playing it, pirated or not. Not to mention, it sends a message that they still end up playing the game anyway, so there's no reason to listen to their complaints.

I therefore conclude that people who 'boycott' a game by pirating it are pillocks.

The same goes for XBOX users so don't blame PC's for pirating. More hype = More pirates. That goes for every game out there and we can't do anything about it.

Took you a while to conclude that.
Yeah, being a supporter of the PC version of MW2 must be quite hard these days. Not only did IW just shit on your yard, a bunch of pirates then come along having fun with everything you wanted IW to give you. And they're doing it without paying big bucks.

Pirates in MW2? Wow! I thought that game was a bland shooter, but pirates? WOw! I have to play that! There should be a mini game of running down the plank while being drunk.

But that kinda goes to prove the claim that IWnet would be an improvement wrong. Not that I hope anyone ever believed that line.

I'm so happy I might cry.

Doesn't change the fact IW screwed up so bad that I'm suprised people consider the game worth pirating, but it still makes me smile.

I'd love to play a game with pirates.
My brother's friend said that he knows a guy who sells bootleg Xbox 360 games for $5, but I'm not going to risk getting banned on Xbox Live...

Pirates are everywhere and they'll always find a way to get what they want.

When I make my awesome online FPS, if the server detects a pirate, they will be given a funny hat and an eyepatch and be forced onto a separate team on their own armed only with a cutlass.

Why would you want to promote piracy in your own game? ;)

That'd be great.

Whats worse is that someone would own with it.

The idea is that they get so fed up of not being able to play properly that they go and buy the real game.
