It appears that there is a breed of Gamers that is not to be reckoned with.
Even though Gamers themselves are not to be messed with.

This force is the PC gamers................ I think I fear them.......

it just shows the IW that PC gamers just aren't worth it.
The same goes for XBOX users so don't blame PC's for pirating. More hype = More pirates. That goes for every game out there and we can't do anything about it.
Xbox users were pirating it before it even game out...

Well of course they are, VAC only issues bans at intrevals. It needs server side admins and authentication to prevent hackers/pirates.

They'll get their dues sooner or later, but it's going to take longer than you're used to.
No they won't, at least not from steam - otherwise they'll net a whole load of people who are just joking around using the app faker, i've seen plenty of people with pirated games adding them as non steam games in the past, and not a single one has even received a warning

Of course, them pirating the game is doing even more damage since it just shows the IW that PC gamers just aren't worth it. If these people are meant to be boycotting the game; they're not because they're playing it, pirated or not. Not to mention, it sends a message that they still end up playing the game anyway, so there's no reason to listen to their complaints.

I therefore conclude that people who 'boycott' a game by pirating it are pillocks.
Not at all. IW aren't giving legit gamers respect, why should be expected to respect their work?

Very true. The more popular the game, the more people that will try to play it, legally or not.

I have the PC version, and I have seen hackers online (it was physically impossible for that guy to be prestige 10, level 70 so close to launch, I worked it out mathematically.) I't somewhat ironic that people are robbing themselves of the experience of leveling up... which is basically all the fun anyway (and without the ban hammer).

IWNet doesn't suck, but dedicated servers would definitely be better.

Batman:AA did a good job with the pirate issue XD Shoulda just did that and not completely gimp the PC game.

Now lemme go and find out how the steam pirates do it! Screw you IW and your Greed!

Are there people running around with simitars and eye patches? I want to play it now.
Actually, I thought he meant the Somalian pirates were playing. In which case, I would've loved to go on and kick their asses so bad they fall unconscious and liberate their hostages (which are, ironically, Spanish) and get a badge for being a hero. I'm too lazy and poor to buy MW2 though.

Hey, at least I have a good business eye! :)

This is just so ironic, so ironic that I find it very funny.

I know that PC users are hurting because of it, but it is still funny as hell to me.

which i believe the pirates fixed a bit later atleast it's probable that they did..
Yeah they did.

but if they did more with the code, like not allow you to get certain weapons, crash the game when you walk through a certain hallway, allow scarecrow to see you no matter what in the scarecrow missions...

You can do lots of fun thing with code, and the devs will probably expand greatly upon it with the next game.

Its a giant hassle to sift through all of the game's code just to fix a few things you may not even know you need to fix, therefore you could screw the game up even more.

When I make my awesome online FPS, if the server detects a pirate, they will be given a funny hat and an eyepatch and be forced onto a separate team on their own armed only with a cutlass.
Why would you want to promote piracy in your own game? ;)
The idea is that they get so fed up of not being able to play properly that they go and buy the real game.
No. I would seriously love to play that way, i would be bad ass and you are forgetting that the pirate will be legion if you do something this awesome.

Because when you don't they give up on you. COD will be console exclusive if enough people pirate.
QFT. This is pretty much what I was trying to say.

After all, if so many PC gamers pirate it rather than simply not buying it, they'll think PC gamers simply aren't worth it. Not playing a game sends a much better message than pirating it.

Basically;
They didn't buy or pirate it: "Shit, we screwed up, maybe they have a point."
They pirated it: "Screw them, why should we waste our time on people who just steal our work?"
