Pizza is apparently serious business, more than any other food it seems.

Oh pff. All you zealots cower under the power of the home made pizza!

I am Pinkamena, and I am here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to a decent pizza?
"No!" says the employee of Pizza Hut. "It must be greasy and sloppy!"
"No!" says the waitress of Dominos. "It must be as cheap to make as possible!"
"No!" says the owner of the local pizza shop. "It must be topped with every ingredient!"
I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Home made pizza. A pizza where oil and butter would be used in modesty, where the dough would not be pure wheat, where the toppings could be just the way they need to be!
YES.... I CHOOSE THE IMPOSSIBLE!! BOW DOWN TO ME, ALL OF YOU PUNY MORTALS!!

Ahem. Yeah, I like home made pizza. What I like is some spices (oregano for me), jalepenos, pineapples, black olives, onions, capsicums (shut up, I'm Indian at heart) and a blend of cheese (mozzarella and parmesan) for me. The sauce is some awesome sauce as well, consisting of some pepper, oregano, tomatoes, and onions.

... Admit it. I made some of you guys hungry. :-D

I'm not super picky about pizza really. I generally don't care where it comes from though I'll get pizza from different places just to keep things different. The only thing that I absolutely cannot stand on pizza or anywhere else is olives, I'll pick them off if there aren't too many or if picking them off would ruin the slice I'll not eat the pizza at all.

I do adore pizza so, but keep your damned fruit off of there! Pineapple does not belong on a pizza. I'm sure the Hawaiians can't live without pineapple on everything, but it's just wrong to put it on a perfectly piggy pizza.

But other than the heresy of some topping choices I don't really mind most things. I've even had Chinese style roast duck and hoisin sauce pizza, it wasn't the least bit good but it makes everything else better by comparison (except pineapple). Roast chicken is a pretty good topping and one I make for myself a lot. I usually opt for a thin base but deep dish/pan/crust is acceptable if done well, not too bready but also not soggy.

I found myself liking pizza less and less as I got older. It's not horrible, but I just feel there's much better foods to be eaten. In my opinion, Pizza Hut tastes like Wonder Bread deep fried in olive oil and AIDS. As for Domino's, i'll let Cracked tell you: http://www.cracked.com/blog/complaints-to-dominos-that-they-didnt-put-in-their-ad/

They are the Burgerfuel of Pizza :p. More expensive yes but higher quality and a sense of humour to boot. God bless 'ya Hells.

Have you tried their pizza roulette?
No I haven't, because spicy/hot stuff makes me physically sick...

It's a type of small rodent. They bite.

I don't actually like pizza. Whenever a group is getting some, I have whatever else they sell.

If you're looking for chain stores, at least in NYC, Familglia(?) is the best way to go.

Then again, there's so many little pizza places that sell it cheaper and better, including Costco, that it seems wrong to only buy big name brand.

Only Pizza Hut gives stuffed crust though....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Dominoes and Papa John's are a disgrace to Pizza though. That's just fact.:D

Well, I don't like pizza.

I tried it 5 times, it's the issue of not being a "sauce person", a tomato person or a cheese person. Pizza Hut smells incredible, though.

I suppose, in a way, I have very strong opinions about pizza, but also remain highly indifferent. It's all bad to me, but I can't really contribute much to a pizza discussion.

In our area, we have a chain called Papa Murphy's. They make the pizzas, but you have to take them home to bake them. They make a set that uses a white garlic sauce os the base instead of tomato. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

As for the larger chains. meh. Pizza Hut is grease central. I have had an ongoing war with Dominoes for over 30 years and will NEVER order from that chain. Little Ceaser's and Godfather's are both wildly random, with some stores being really good and other being really bad. As for Papa Johns . . . well let's just say that every time a Papa John's pizza was ordered for one of our office parties, at least two people got mild food poisoning. Just saying.

Wise decision. As a fan of hot and spicy of food this made me cry and throw up. The latter was more to do with eating after the burning sensation had stopped but damn it I was hungry and I paid for the other pizza x_x.

Yep, me and my siblings agreed to it one night.

My sister got the slice.

For those of you who are unluckly enough to have Hell invade your shores, its where one (and only one) slice of pizza has some of the most powerful chilli I've ever had added.

And they don't tell you which is which.

And here is the disclaimer.

Hell's Pizza are more expensive than the likes of Pizza Hut, but soooooo worth it.
Even after getting the slice I still love them. Needless to say I'm sticking to their other pizzas xD.

I've eaten all kinds of pizza and have even made one from scratch myself. Yet the only one I've ever disliked was Papa John's. I don't how they could've fucked it up but it was a chore to eat it.

I'd guess it's because pizza is something people eat as a group so whoever bitches the most gets the pizza they want while everyone else who doesn't care just eats whatever gets ordered.

I'd say the most critical factor in pizza quality is when you order. Most places aren't run well enough to turn out great pizza when they are really busy.

Ah, pizza. There's something for everyone, don'cha know? You can put anything you want on a traditional crust and have it at any hour. Make it out of cookie/shortbread and use it for dessert. Make it light and decadent to be fancy, make it heavy and messy if you wanna just go nuts on movie night.

Dominoes vs. Pizza Hut? They're all nice, depending on where you live, I guess. Pizza Hut makes a good calzone, but Dominoes is quicker on the delivery. But... hell, I hate to be this guy, but I make better pizza at home, from (almost) scratch. Franchises tend to make their product on the bland side, because they don't want to make something too... well, let's just say I like my pizza sauce with a little more garlic and anchovy paste than most.

I like my pizza to taste like cheesy bread. The sauce can go. If I can ignore the sauce it's a good pizza even if the bread is made of paper. If the sauce is thick and flavorful it makes me want to vomit. I know I'm weird.

dominos and pizzahut suck. Although pizza huts' pasta is surprisingly good. If I HAD to eat at a chain it would probably be Papa John's, but even they are a hit and miss and vary wildly between stores. Pizza hut in particular. Ive never had something so greasy and so fatty and have it taste like NOTHING.

Now, maybe my attitude towards those two big chains is because I live in New England where we are blessed with a large population of Italians. Any of the local pizza places here make excellent food. I alternate between like 8 different local places depending on my mood/budget.

Now, when I lived in the Southern US, good...scratch that... EDIBLE pizza was hard to find. It was so bad that I would travel to a town 1.5 hours away to get slightly edible pizza.

If you do not live in New England (or Chicago) in the USA, chances are your pizza sucks. California might be a bit of a wildcard simply because they like to go weird on the toppings.

I don't really care for such petty things as to where to get the best pizza. Stuff like that seems just silly and childish.

No, I focus on real-life, serious adult problems. No bullshit here. I've tried telling this to hundreds of people in my lifetime. Arguing over pizza places holds no candle to the heresy that millions of people commit every day:

PINEAPPLE. DOES. NOT. BELONG. IN. PIZZA. GOD. DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pizza rivalry can get downright ridiculous, even in a fictional sense.

In fact, I've been firmly reminded, by this post, of Authentic Nicks, Terrific Nicks, Authentic Terrific Nicks, and Terrific Authentic Nicks. All four of them are fictional pizza places. All in the same universe. And each and every one is at the throat of the others. Castle fans will no doubt recognize the names.

Chicago Town Takeaway Stuffed Crust Pepperoni.
Google that because, THAT'S the best pizza in the world.

On the other hand Pizza Hut is expensive, greasy, shit and I have never had dominoes. THE SECOND YOU PUT BBQ SAUCE ON THE BASE YOU ARE CONDEMNED TO A HORRIBLE DEATH IN HELLFIRE FOR THIS TRANSGRESSION.

I'm partial to pizza 73,it's not bad but not the greatest. The only thing from domino's I like are those godly mozzarella sticks or whatever. The only one in my town is a family pizza which also isn't bad. But my favorite place by far is a small pizza place called kings pizza. It's from a small town (Lanigan, Saskatchewan) and it is fucking amazing. Dollars for a quarter of a pizza? Yes please! Albeit it's kinda greasy sometimes and isn't super loaded (unless you ask for it). I also knew the guy that ran it and he's just a really cool guy too. It was great, but it's half an hour away and I don't feel like driving half an hour for some pizza
