Any goddam forest, like the ones in FarCry 1.....

To me they're hard to get around, the enemies blend perfectly into it, and even the most retard traps are perfectly hidden within it... HATE IT!!!

Prefer Snow levels or Deserts... The whole idea of a man in the middle of nowhere, and survivng those hrash conditions, gives more valor, then a man that found his way out from a paradisidic jungle...

The first area of KOTOR 2 is so boring that I only managed to push past it once, the first time I completed it. It is literally the only thing stopping me from replaying that game, every single time I try the boredom just gets to me, and I cannot bring myself to play any more of it.

Taris was quite bad, but that mining facility is just... nothing. There's not a single interesting thing about it. Every time I attempt it I find that afterwards I can barely remember it, simply because there's nothing worth remembering.

Towers/Descending shafts. Almost always equals linear boring game play all the way from entrance to end, and then back again.

I take back what I said earlier about not minding the realm of Oblivion very much. I've just been going through a crap ton of gates for each city so they will help defend Bruma at the finale and I AM SICK OF IT! Not only is it not a challenge, it's so tedious. The same routine over and over again. All the hallways have the same name and I fight the same enemies. This place sucks.

I would much rather be involuntarily sucked into the fade than launch probes at planets until I had enough to upgrade my gear.

The Fade. Cool concept done horribly. I understand it supposed to be out of this world but its way to absurd. Also long solo missions in party based games are not good. It also reminds me of Tak and the power of Juju 2 (or whatever it was called.)

Well, obviously, there's the Fade.

But most of all, them otherfucking (yes, otherfucking) Haunted Mansion in Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Place be scary. And a few pieces of flying cutlery and othe kitchen shit should not be enough to half-kill a flippin' vampire. So it was scary, and it could actually kill you very easily with pure luck deciding wheter you un-live, or re-die. Happeh.

That -one- part in every sandbox game where you're put inside a closed building environment and are stuck to cover based shooting - GTA 4 bank level I'm looking at you....

The shops and merchants... very often they don't have what I want or the stuff is too expensive :(
And too expensive happens much too often... Fallout: New Vegas' Gun Runners, I'm looking at you...
Shame on you for making me pay 4000 caps for a fucking Trail Carbine.

and oblivion gates. good concept 'how about we design one massive level thats basically hell with a few towers you have to fight up. now make a dozen and make some of them mandatory'

I'm really sorry but that last sentence made me laugh, because I can picture someone saying it with exasperation and confusion in their face as they try to understand WTF is going on in that place.

I have a paragon-savegame of Mass Effect 2, and I really should have a renegade one by the time Mass Effect 3 comes out, but the goddamn planet scanning is literally the only thing stopping me from replaying. I just can't do it again.

Oh god, I thought of another one, IRENICUS' DUNGEON IN BALDUR'S GATE II. FFFF.
There's a mod to remove it. That being said, I've never minded the place all that much. It's pretty interesting. It's just that if you constantly start over to try out another class, then this is the place you're going to see the most. I think not having access to enough gear to really customize your characters the way you want to is the most annoying thing about it.

sewers. they are always boring, dark and full of cheap fights that are only hard because you can't move properly. World 3 and 5 in demon's souls. "on rails" sections in shooters, the only reason to have those in 2011 is to show off how big the levels you can build are(looking at you, killzone 3).

I have to second both The Fade and Oblivion Gates. The Fade just rubbed me entirely the wrong way, and I have absolutely no idea why. Something about it just made me dread and hate it to an extreme.

And I found Oblivion gates to be incredibly repetitive, boring, and annoying, on top of being painful to navigate. Even having to do the ones required for the main story drove me bonkers. The strangest part about that, though, is the fact that they're just like every other dungeon in the game, and I didn't mind those at all.

All of Act III in Diablo II. I'm sure there are a lot of other people that got very tired of not being able to catch those little pygmys with blow guns!

I didn't mind that one, except for the elevator and getting lost in the upper levels. What takes the cake for me is when you go through all those tunnels in the sewers to find the Nosferatu clan.
Yeah, I've seen a lot of complaining about that part. Strange, because I found them very quickly and easily... well, different people find different things difficult, I guess.

The planets in Mass Effect 2 were so incredibly bad, Mass Effect 2 now stands at one of the few games where i've had to use a Trainer to beat it.
I downloaded a trainer, got all my upgrade points, and then bought everything.

I only count this as half cheating because the planet scanning thing was put in Mass Effect 2 to keep 'Jeff', the resident retarded child happy. No one wanted to deal with the tantrums he would throw if it got left out.

Seriously, fuck the planet probe.

Also, Oblivion gates. Freaked me out for a while until i got some good spells, then just strolled through them with ease.
The Fade is now included in my own personal hell - when i get to hell, i will be forced to play through that level 5,000 times with the weakest characters available.

The water temples in most Zelda games get a mention, too.
