I played the PC demos for Overlord II and Overlord and I found the controls in Overlord II were a little more broken.
I was enjoying myself a bit more with Overlord, so why would I get the one that's more expensive right now?
I have them on PS3 and the controls are pretty much the same. Reason I like the sequel more is because there's more in it. And unlike Yahtzee, I don't need to be persuaded to care.

I actualy would recommend getting the first one first though, not only to get a feel for the game and make sure you like it, but because it is cheaper. And if you like it, then later you could get the sequel, after it's dropped down in price. Win-win in my opinion.
Fair enough, I'm most likely going to buy Overlord in a month or so... I just have other games I want to finish playing first.

I would rather a game not try to make you care, than introduce a rushed and shallow black / white moral choice system.
I recomend Overlord 1 over its suquel for stroy telling reasons.

As for 2, sure the moral choice system is black and white, the thing is the game is just supposed to be stupid evil fun. Not pull you're heart strings

Morrowind is awesome; the only problem is that once you load it up, you're going to be playing for hours...

Edit:

I'm playing Earthbound right now.

Such an amazing gem of a game...
I hope you're playing it on the SNES and not by some other means. Earthbound has some infamous anti-piracy measures built into the last boss fight.

But yes, the game never got the love it deserved back in the day.
...yeah, I found out about the anti-piracy measures during the last boss fight; you know, the bit where the game crashes and deletes your savegame... had to watch the ending on youtube.

Actually, I was saying that I was glad that the games have a choice between evil and more evil.

I didn't want a Good or Evil Fable-like moral choice system.

Mirror's Edge picked it up for $20 and it's pretty fun. The controls take a LOT of getting used to, but once you start to get the knack of things, the game itself is quite intriguing. Now if I can just keep from falling to my death, over and over and over again.

Mass Effect for the millionth time. I can't get enough of disabling shields, overheating enemy weapons then sniping from afar.

Been playing Prototype, too. It does everything I expected it to do: you feel like a badass, the story is surprisingly juicy (even if told in a rather unorthodox manner) and it's a great stress reliever.

Prototype. It is so much fun to tear apart NYC and kill everything in sight with you deadly claws, blades, and fists.

Try Battlefield 1943

trust me you will not be disappointed
What is this game? This is the third time I've seen it pop up today.

edit: Google is my friend. Sounds a little interesting. Might have to download it on PSN and give it a try. Doubt it would replace TF2 as my on-line shooter of choice though.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Seriously, I don't get why all the game reviewers complain about it so much.

I started getting into fallout 3 recently. Ive had it for a while but for whatever reason havnt played it much till now.

Also just finished up lego indiana jones. It was pretty good simple fun. And helped erased some of the bad memories from the crystal skull pile of shit movie.

Starcraft: Brood War - Been replaying through the campaign after a couple months without playing. It's surprisingly tough, and not so simple as "build up your army and base's defenses until you have a big enough army to kill the enemy."

Exile 3 - I like to think of it as Fire Emblem meets Oblivion. You have 6 characters that you can make from scratch, and customize them pretty much however you want. A lizardman who wields a spear and casts spells, A human who specializes in melee and throwing weapons, An archer who can cast Priest spells, whatever. One of the coolest things you can do in the game is, after finishing a certain quest, cast a spell on a monster called "Capture Soul." If the monster's not too big, like a Giant Slug or a Bear, or too high a level, you can then summon that monster at any time. One of the most unique games I've ever played.

Devil May Cry 4 - Doing a replay, currently on Dante Must Die mode, except this time, I'm limiting myself to 10 life bars (as opposed to the max of 20) and 5 Devil Trigger Orbs (as opposed to the max of 10).

No argument here, but I've heard complaints that Venkman likes hearing himself talk. A lot.

I recently picked up the Game Boy Color game Wario Land 3 again and that game is still an unbelievably good platformer. It's incredibly big, there is a lot of variety and the mechanic that you can't die is used very well. It's shame most people have forgotten about his game alreasy.

The New Monkey Island Episode, the remastered Monkey Island and ARMA 2.
The first is a re-invention of a timeless classic (ah the joys of cliches) the second is just a slightly prettier reworking of the original and ARMA 2 is a prettier and slightly less buggy re-working of a re-working of Operation Flashpoint, which was just awesome.
