I notice this happening more & more nowadays. You get on the bus or train & some idiot decides that everyone should listen to his/her music. Most the time it's some sort of drum & bass or 'gangsta I shoot ho's music'. Now I'm the kind of person who will confront them & say I don't want to listen to it. I find even though no one else wants to listen to it either, they won't stand up & say anything or support me.

Simply put are you the kind of person who finds this behaviour annoying &/or would you stand up & confront the offending individual.

Most of the time it's also being played on a shoddy phone speaker.

Even if they were playing 'decent' music it would be ruined. Either way it's impolite and people who do it probably aren't going to care if people tell me not to.

One of the reasons I hate using buses. I seriously once saw someone get on a bus, take out their music player and then remove the headphones so everyone could hear the music. Why people think its funny to piss of other people,I will probably never know!

its worse nowadays... I remember my parents saying that people used to carry massive music boxes on their shoulders bleating out good music on the bus... Nowadays they just use mobile phones with sound so tinny and R&B so terrible it can be barely called music =\

Its a massive hatred of mine, and whilst im not trying to sound racist, im live in germany, and the only people who do this on the tram system are the turkish teenagers. Also i do confront them cause there all the whole 'im tough... but ill let this one slide' group of people.

There's an internet equivalent of this, called "allcaps".

Not saying there is anything wrong with D&B. I admit it's not exactly my taste in music though (to each their own right?) Thing is more often than not they play music on a phone so it sounds even worse.

Have any of you seen the Sony Ericsson W995 phone? It actually comes with an attachable speaker... Guess what that's encouraging people to do

in my 6th form common room the chavier kids have seized control of the radio and hook it up to their ipods, there's nothing but really loud drum n bass and modern r'n'b. i mean REALLY loud. it kills all conversation and makes any work during free periods impossible.
i wouldn't mind so much if it was quieter, or anyone else ever got a say

I always keep my iPod at a volume that doesn't disturb the people around me. It really confuses me why people need to have theirs so loud as I can hear my music fine without disturbing everyone, and I hardly have supersonic hearing.

Also, first post hooray ;P
