I wouldn't hear it as of my iPods high volume.

And what's wrong with Drum&Bass?
We don't get drum and bass in Birmingham. Specifically on the number 50 into the city centre.

Getting tired of hearing "FUCK FUCK NIGGA FUCK FUCK BLAP BLAP MUTHA FUCKA YO *Random gun loading and gunshot sounds* FUCK THE PO-LICE YO!" to some generic beat and a barely recorded loop.

It makes me want to go postal on anything in a tracksuit.

I wouldn't mind so much if it was decent quality output so that it could be heard properly, but that tinny noise that you get from phone speakers is just annoying. That said, I've learned to ignore it since the other option is to carry my iPod around with me on even the shortest of journeys, which isn't really much of an option given how badly degraded the battery life is now.

I once had a housemate who... ehhh, copy and paste from where I originally told the story:

On a bus in the lovely part of London where we lived, two shell-suited-baseball-capped-fake-diamond-encrusted locals were blasting some dodgy music out of a mobile phone. As it was early in the morning, nobody was in the mood for that sort of thing, so she politely asked them to turn it down. This was met with the predictable hail of abuse, so she asked them again, this time slightly less politely. When this was met with "fuck off", she calmly leaned forward and grabbed the phone, then threw it out of the window of the moving bus, watching out of the back window as it smashed on the ground.

I think the best part was their reaction: "What the fuck d'you that for, I only nicked that yesterday...".

nothing... at a club or party. but on a bus? it doesn't sound that great even when drunk, but blaring out at full volume when your tired and irritable it is just awful. especially on tinny phone speakers.
there's a time and a place for it, just like you wouldn't play joy division at a party don't play drum n base on a bus (or joy division on a bus, bus's depressing enough as they are).

On my local bus service the 'Chav's and always chavs seem to just play D'n'B, Rap, Hip hop loudly off their Mobiles, so got to try and blur it out.

But then on the trains no one does, as they have headphones so can play music at much more ear respecting level.

Ugh, I hate that when I get onto public transport. Still, I'll just plug my iPod in and turn up the volume, so it doesn't bother me once I've got some music of my own going.

That's why I use Sennheiser headphones. The earbuds play loud for you, but not others.

I'm not a big fan of the bus and on trains here it's usually empty the trains since the only people who use it are mums with there children and kids heading to clydebank to go to the cinema or to Glasgow to go shopping.

i don't get how some one can be so stupid that they would do that 'cause they thought they were "cool" though chavs are not really human they devolved in the womb.

i have had this problem myself but not recently last time it happened the bus driver asked him to turn the music off and he came out with the typical reply of your racists blah blah blah i got so fed up i smashed the guy round the face and helped the bus driver carry him off the bus i don't condone that sort of reaction i myself would not have done it if i had not had such a bad day and i'm not violent by nature but it seemed like the easiest option as i was already pissed off and wanted to go home.

it is annoying and people should stand up to these people but maybe not with violence unless your a vigilante :p

I would settle for drum and bass, beats getting on the train for half an hour every moring followed by a flood or moronic gossiping schoolkids and college students blasting metal, I dont want to listen to your shit at half fucking 8 turn it bloody down.

Conductors should be allowed to just shuck people off at the nearest stop for shit like that really grates on my nerves.

Epic :D I've thrown one down a train carriage and then tripped up the scrot that went to get it, but it's not quite the same. Your mate gets epic points!

I hate that especially if their wearing ear phones and the music can still be heard.

Earphones are invented for private music use. So only you yourself can hear them. They are meant to keep the peace in public areas and are also for those who don't want to hear what your listening to. So the thick heads on the bus who play their music to loud are incapable of using simple technology correctly.
