Playing loud music on the bus!!!

I actually have a story. Once I was in GameStop and this kid comes in. His phone has music on it and it's playing extremely loud. Like, so loud that the already overly loud looping videos on the screen were drowned out by his terrible rap music. You could hear it from the back of the store. So the guy behind the desk counters it by turning the video so loud that my ears almost started bleeding.

It's extremely annoying. If you want to listen to music in public, USE HEADPHONES.

the people on my bus blast some really bad music so i NEED my ipod with me. but once some kid took the ear phone to hear what i was listening to and he was like, "wow kid are you gay this shit sucks." and another girl called me a weirdo fag cuz i told her i was listening to an ozzy song.

Why should we? To be honest, you get on a bus and expect to have a quiet journey. If these people want to listen to their music, they should be the ones using headphones.

I used to get this all the time on the bus to school. What made it worse was that they put one crappy song on repeat so I get to hear it for about 20 minutes straight. And they play it so loud I can't hear my own iPod. Luckily I get a lift in now so it doesn't bother me.

I'm not sure if I fully get your post, so I'll reply as I understand it. No you don't get on a bus for a quiet journey, more often than not people will be talking loudly over the noise of the engine & other people talking. But why should everyone else be subjected to your music which 9 times out of 10 is some type of music you really don't like? Quite frankly I find it incredibly rude & disrespectful to other people.

This thread reminds me of a billboard I saw on the bus tonight. There were 3 examples of things you can do on the bus that will get you fined:

Disobeying a busdrivers instructions: ? 50

Causing annoyance with mp3players or phones: ? 75

Vandalism and littering: ? 50
Seems a bit steep to me. but then again, it was a different model Bus than the usual so I expect this one normally drives in a "bad neighbourhood".

I just ordered me some sennheisers which should aleviate this problem! But they should be shot for playing what can barely be described as music without headphones.

Has never happened to me. Although if nobody else is going to do it, I'll ask politely, and if they refuse to, I'll try to argue for why they should use headphones. And if they get violent, it's their jail time. Sticks and stones can break my bones, but jail history is forever.

I hold my rage when people start listening to music loudly.

I think if I let go and etc, I would either strangle the person with their headphones or beat them to death with their phones. Okay not seriously but when I am pissed off about it I want to.

But often times, I retaliate and play music on MY phone louder than theirs. It normally stops them dead.
