but yea me and my friend (xbox fanboys) were just joking around and were wondering what would happen if people started getting pissed and like blaming sony for their cod not working.
The problem isn't that we're not getting to play online, I would be fine witht that for a little while, but even our single player games are having issues.Pimppeter2 said:I think that you're over exaggerating a simple maintenance check/failure which would most likely be solved by tomorrow morning.
Incidentally, even if this were to last a week, online isn't everything so I don't think it would be the last of the PS3.
Much less Sony, which incidentally does more than make PS3s.
Also, seeing as PSN is free, I don't think people can sue at all.
Yes but then there are always the Xbox Live assholes...Fredrick2003 said:This would never happen on Xbox 360 because you pay for a quality service :3
Nope, trophies were affected: some of mine are gone, and this address talks about the issue--including the loss of trophies.dmase said:I'm pretty sure trophies aren't gonna be effected unless you need to upload a games trophies, when you first play the game. All mine are up, they are in the HD i think.bassdrum said:I think the only way that this latest failure of the PSN system is going to piss people off is that it lost some user's trophies. I, personally, may have lost my Uncharted 2 trophies, which I'm not too pleased with (yeah, I know trophies don't really count for anything, but I worked really damn hard to find those treasures)--but I'm sure Sony will do their best to fix this.
So no, I don't think this is 'the last of sony', I think that we'll have forgotten all about this in a week or two.
The problem is, that teh games aren't free, and some of them fail to work when you're not online, even the single player mode.Pimppeter2 said:I think that you're over exaggerating a simple maintenance check/failure which would most likely be solved by tomorrow morning.

DDoSing PSN would do nothing, the amount of traffic they are prepared for you couldn't just have a few people spamming it for this amount of downtime. There are much more effective ways of taking networks down than a few script kiddies with DDoS programs.Kalezian said:I think, it isn't someone hacking the Ps3, though Im a 360 person, I doubt anyone would go through that much trouble just to DDOS PSN.
Glitch or update, maybe, but I doubt anyone would waste an entire Sunday just to disrupt your gaming needs

if this isnt fixed.... this could be the last of sony. just imagine all the people who are gonna sue and all the ps3 recalls... surely sony can't compinsate it all?
what you guys think?
Aparantly it is, it's to do with the leap year being wrong or somthing silly like thatthepopeofatheism said:It's Y2K all over again >.<

yeah... if they can get away with charging 20,000$ for a tv, some recalls of a classically overcompensating game console is not going to phase them in the slightest..archerboy106 said:if this isnt fixed.... this could be the last of sony.
