All the Spyro games, The Year of the Dragon was my first, but my personal favourite is Final Fantasy IX. I still occasionally whip out the PS1 and play for a few hours.

Abe's Oddysee
An absolute timeless classic that game is.
This and a side of bacon.

The first Playstation game I experienced and the most visually stunning game ever.

Many good names mentioned but I'm rather surprised that noone has mentioned Parasite Eve. Both games were fun and actually playing the 2nd one got me my last boyfriend

Ape Escape... that game was full of Japanese, monkey capturing awsomeness.
This.

Writing "This." may be a bit of a cliché, but seriously...

goddamn This.

And the Crash Bandicoot original trilogy. And Rayman 2, that was pretty awesome as well. OH, and Crash Bash (great game for mental parties)

Tomba, Vandal Hearts 2, FF7, MGS, Vigilantes (best mp ever), Syphon filter 2(tazers that set peopleeon fire while they scream are sadistic and awesome), there was a great RPG I cant recall now something Saga I think (iif anyone knows what im on about tell me plz), Stop the train was deadly, shit there were loads. Its a shame now that the creativity that gave birth to some of these days is replaced by greyscale and shine.

Einhander, a great side scroller with 3-D effects, epic boss fights and an empty promise of a sequel.

Chrono Cross was my favorite PS1 game, and I do consider it a classic. When a ten-year-old JRPG plays better than the vast majority of the modern stuff, I think that justifies a classic game.
Yeah but it's no Chrono Trigger.

OT: Intelligent Cube! I loved that game and lost my copy. can't find it anywhere now :(
I dunno. I liked Chrono Cross more. The only place where I felt Chrono Trigger was truly superior was in its ending.

silent hill 1. it may have been overshadowed by the far more compelling silent hill 2 but damn did that game keep me up at night! and also it had one of the best and scariest openings in games.
