Maybe if they sweeten the deal I'll consider this, after all I got rid of my Xbox so I don't have to pay for that crap anymore.
Well, how so? How could they "sweeten the deal" some more? I mean, that's a bit ambiguous for a post, no?

Check my above post and the Playstation Gamers group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Escapist-PlayStation-Gamers] for more details on PS+ as this article does not really show everything it offers.
Oh I guess you're right I didn't see the full list.

This is pretty cool after all.

Well, I was a bit hesitant at first, but then I saw you got Wipeout HD for free, and I immediately bought it. Plus, Age of Zombies!

My question is, as I got a free copy of LittleBigPlanet for download when I bought it, can I download it to a friend's console or something? Because I already have the physical copy.

Note to self: paying an annual subscription for a select number of games per months is considered 'free' games.

If you're getting 4 games per month, totaling to 48 games in one year, for the cost of only one full game, I'd call it "free". Why wouldn't you take advantage by downloading the 4 games a month?

The devil's in the details. The two questions are:

Do I keep the games?
Yes, as long as your subscription is running you get to keep the games.

Can I choose the games?
No. However with 48 games a year, along with free dlc given out, the chances of your $50 being wasted is frightfully low.

See, that's my problem with it. Sure, they want to encourage people to continue paying, and since I got the game at a lower price, I guess I can see their point. But if for some reason, I want to opt out, I lose all the games, and dlc that I purchased at a lower price. And that is a very good reason as for me to not join up in the first place.

Sony's taking a page from Valve's "How to make your customer happy" book, I see. They've certainly gotten my interest. How does that price swap over into dollars?
Dollars isn't amazingly specific.

I think its a great idea, not for me, but a great idea non-the-less.

I believe so, he would however have to put your PSN account on his PS3 to download, then install. It may only be active while he's playing on your account though, but then... He doesn't have to be connected to the internet to play, and its legit so nothing to worry about.

Note that I actually haven't looked into the change in Sony's policy, maybe they mentioned something about sharing accounts. (accounts can only be active on... I think 6 other consoles)

All games and dlc your purchase at a discount are yours forever. So if you say, buy the Warhawk triple combo pack at 50% discount that's your forever. Subscription or not.

Only the four games a month have there play suspended. If you revive your account all games you previously paid for during your subscription are reactivated as well. So if you stop for say three months then pick it back up once you have some money again you get the 144 games you received through the system back as well.

Ultimately unless you pay the cost, and never play the games and never take advantage of the discounts your 50 bucks, to me at least, are put to good use.

If you don't think its worth your money by all means don't get it. Sony made the system as a luxury. A little extra frosting for the cake for people who can afford it ya know?

Huh. It seems you are more convincing than Sony's marketing staff. In that case, I probably will get it. Thanks!

GJ sony :D. (Still no cross game voice chat? How hard is it to code, seriously?)
Apparently some games don't go well (EA games) and have issues with it, plus the bandwith itd chew would be enormous (thus increasing cost of running PSN for Sony).

The thing is, if you still want to play a certain game after a whole year? Just buy the damn game, is my response it is. And you don't lose the DLC you purchased, or anything else you purchased at a discount, the only thing you truly lose are the 48 games you got for free, which you might as well buy if you still want to play them. And you acn pay another $50, getting another 48 free games to play.

It all works out either way.
