Please don't reboot the DC Movies....anything but that.

I have already suffered it with Spiderman, I am not gonna suffer it with DC and I will give you 2 reasons.

1. The possibility of being even WORSE than it is now, like its bad for one reason but what if ends up bad for the opposite reasons. Like they try TOO hard to be exactly like the Marvel movies that they fumbled. (And I am not talking about like how Suicide Squad is I mean built from the ground up to be exactly like Marvel's look and tone) and also everyone will rag on them for being exact copy cats.

2. Even if it ends up for the better does anyone and I am serious does anyone want to sit through another Superman origin movie? Another Batman origin movie telling us the same goddamn story we already know only to again set up a fuckin Justice League movie! And again consider the Superhero universe movie bubble will burst someday.

I rather just have them improve over the years after a mediocre start, than start over from scratch again and there is the risk that they will still fuck it up for people.

Nolan's Batman was fine and I liked the cartoon as a kid, but I'd be fine with that franchise retiring.

At this point personal I want that.

Heck I rather have a return of fantasy movies.

Support movies like Warcraft, the Big Friendly Giant, and Fantasitc Beasts.


That or more Crime/Gangster/Mafia movies. We are long overdue of one and I hope Martin Scorsese's The Irishmen sees the light of day.

Nolan's Batman was fine and I liked the cartoon as a kid, but I'd be fine with that franchise retiring.

If not superhero movies, public domain fables/ fairy tales, board game adaptations, and 80's cartoon detritus would fill the vacuum. Pick your flavor of mass-produced mediocrity. Cinema is screwed regardless.

Let's be honest here. Comic book movies will die. Some are getting fed up of them. Those some will become many and then the majority. It's all just a matter of when.

Or rather, I say give us one more blowout from DC and Marvel alike, and then go on hiatus for a decade or so to let it cool off, let another trend take the wheel for awhile.

Tone is not the problem, they can all be as dark and gritty and brutal as possible so long as they make it compelling with great acting and chacaters and writing and editing.

Look what happened with Batman. Nolan eventually made a decent version of it. So that's 3 good Batman movies out of like 8 or 9 that have been made. If they keep doing reboots every 3 years, we should get another good Batman movie by 2030

DC are going ahead with at least two more films which is pretty impressive considering what they're built on... So I don't think you have anything to worry about for the time being.

In any case what does it matter? If DC fails there's always Marvel, they've got around ten thousand films out there at the moment and even a few of them are decent...

Don't like their style? Then turn on your television and watch one of the dozen or so shows on there.

Really the only people I pity are those who are sick of or outright hate superheros altogether cause there's litrally nowhere for them to escape it.

and? so he made some average adaptations in the past, doesn't help BvS or the entire DCCU

Well I want my DC movies to be more like Watchmen and less like Avengers/GOTG.
