Well, I feel that the CPU is cheating on any Civilation game. They are still awsome games though.

I could post a thousand games in here and it still would just scratch the surface of how many games are fucking cheating.

Stalker. I can't see shit at night and the flashlight you get can as well be a candle. So there are these bandits on the middle of the road who must have some kind of radar in their heads. They see me every time! And they dont even have night vision!
Ah their magic radar head lights were no match for me and my trusty sniper shoulda left a tip on their base "Putting your torch on your head at night gives me one hell of an easy target"

Left 4 Dead on expert is a cheating mofo just when you kill one horde its million twins are right behind you

Whenever your opponent spams the same fucking combo in a fighting game.

Okay, so MAYBE that's how 99,99 % of all gamers play fighting games. But still!

if any of you have ever played ARMA 2 then you will know, being shot 10 km away by a flaming vodnik through several walls and windows in a game that is supposed to be the most realistic military sim ever, kinda pisses you off.

man i wish i had a capture card

MGS2 E.Extreme in Arsenal Gear against all the Tengus immediately sprang to mind.

It seemed to decide prior to an attempt whether you would have a chance to defeat them or not.

i think fire elblem on hard is just so annoying they have endless troops and if its 90% chance for you and 60% chance for them you usually miss and they hit its bull and everyone goes for one guy that you just gtta keep (for me its haar)and its such a ***** when they crit you when your full and 1 hit kill you and the last boss has to be killed by ike has regeneration and you only have at best 50% chance of hitting

The Stainless Steel mod for Medieval 2: Total War. The computer IS cheating and recieves entire full STACKS of units every turn, in addition to large quantities of cash. I've literally been bogged down by having to fight three to four full stacks every other turn. And of course, the free units the computer gets don't follow the technological limitations of the faction they are given to and are usually well beyond what that side can build, so you're not only outnumbered, you're also outclassed...

My personal choice is the On Rails meteor shooting section in Dead Space.
On what difficulty were you playing?

Operation Flashpoint 2 for me.
It doesn't seem to matter, I started out on Easy of course to get the controls and gameplay style down, then normal then hard... but no matter what even more so than the boss fights... this section caused such pain.

Any game which requires you to die as part of the storyline.
I dunno about you, but it makes me feel like I want to bite someone's head off whenever that happens, especially if I don't realise it's supposed to happen that way.
Gets right on my tits.

We all know there are points in games where it is difficult, some people need to feel like they've accomplished something great and the only way to do that is to maintain a high curve of difficulty. However I think we can all agree that there are points where it feels like the game is just a little bit too difficult and sometimes, just sometimes where it feels like it's deliberatley being as hard as possible and maybe even bending a few rules to allow it to always beat you. Or at least make you scream in annoyance at the TV screen while some heartless developer miles away laughs at your suffering.
My personal choice is the On Rails meteor shooting section in Dead Space. Most on rail shooting sections in action games are needlessly hard at the best of times but this one just took it one step further with the fact that when you hit one asteroid it merely breaks into many others that cause more wide spread damage, it also has them scattered in endless numbers in a random pattern and makes your gun overheat and it just goes on and on with no breaks... it's just horrific. Every time I go through that section if feels miserable and I can't help but feel like the game is deliberatley trying to make this as hard as possible because it wants me to lose.

So that's my example, how about you? What points in games do you get the wierd feeling that the game is somehow self aware and now plotting to make itself as difficult as possible and twisting the odds so insanely out of your favor that it reaches the point of wondering why you should even bother trying?
Guilty Gear... Justice >.<
