Points where it feels like the game itself is cheating?

The boss battles in GH3 were absurdly cheap, especially Lou. I couldn't even beat him on HARD, let alone expert because of his ability to hit parts of the song I think only a handful of real players could.

My personal choice is the On Rails meteor shooting section in Dead Space.
On what difficulty were you playing?

Operation Flashpoint 2 for me. I just can't complete the second mission, I just can't. I always either die or the timer runs out. I feel miserable.
Have you tried ignoring the flanking manoeuvre and sticking to the path North of the target?

Also, I re-balanced the game by killing one of my team-mates and ransacking his dead body for his Sniper Rifle. Giving you that and the one you start off with that works with a thermal scope, but is of shorter range. My excuse for this betrayal is that I don't have HD and can't see what I am shooting at.

Jinpachi from Tekken 5 can do a move that's about 3 frames long, bypasses block and stuns you. He can then choose to rape your health bar in a variety of interesting and unique fashions. None of which are very sporting. I've never felt like winning against him was an achievement or used skill. It's always, ALWAYS been luck. Because if he wants, he can just *decide* you're going to lose. And nothing you do will change that. He'll stun you and spam fireballs, and you're just out of it.
Ditto. I eventually got to the point where I beat his ass up and down with Yoshi regardless of the difficulty setting, but before I got to that point, Jinpachi was a bullshit magician of the highest order.

I must say, however, that Seth from Street Fighter IV goes a bit past "bullshit magician" and straight into Super Saiyan Antichrist.

Sometimes when I play Halo 3 putting a clip of headshots into a Brute doesn't kill it.
Also, whenever I play my Pokemon games, my opponent makes every other hit critical, adding an effect, when I get nada 90% of the time.

Mariokart. No matter how well you do, they always catch up.
Dam I thought I was only one, would manage to pretty much lap the opponents when playing mirror mode, get hit by a random green shell and still somehow end up in 7th place everytime, and the kicker it'd be the last race on hte 16 long course where its been neck and neck entire thing and that dam green shell would make me lose it and have to do it alll over again ARGHHH

Any game which requires you to die as part of the storyline.
I dunno about you, but it makes me feel like I want to bite someone's head off whenever that happens, especially if I don't realise it's supposed to happen that way.
Gets right on my tits.
*Spoilers*

Ugh the end of Crisis Core was terrible for this, leveled up my character to point where I defeated the Super-boss of the game without any problems and you have to lose to the army at the end why? I have 99,999 health and they do like 15 to me? I should be able to defeat them all dammit

This. VERY this. I've learned to brake when I hear the slipstream of a blue shell so I can catch others in the blast.

Golem Sisters from Chrono Trigger. 2 Bosses on the same time, and both of them got an attack that halves your HP.
That's actually avoidable. As long as you don't attack them physically, they won't use the HP/2 move.

Just completed it with the flanking manoeuvre.

I like to rush Rambo style, it just doesn't work with this game.

The auto-catch up feature in some of the older need for speeds.

Really annoyed me.

ODST in Firefight.
Somehow the enemies will turn around while being assassinated and kill me, I've already hit them in the back though.
Grunts will pull out suicide plasmas while being meleed, basically when they should already be dead, they're still making sure to kill you.

Call of Duty: WaW
The entire campaign.
Enemies shooting the total opposite way of where you are and still hitting you.
Enemies throwing grenades the wrong way, yet they land at your feet 100 yards away.
Enemies carrying 1000+ grenades a piece and throwing them at a rate of 10 grenades a second.

I'm all for games being challenging, but these games go too far. The AI should not be able to do anything the Player can not (never reload, infinite ammo, throw grenades 10x as far, etc...). This just adds a really disheartening feel to the game, making people not even want to play it.

Don't forget Mario Baseball. Unless it's a guaranteed home run, they will most likely get you out.

This about sums it up.

Specific example: I was once playing CnC: Yuri's Revenge. And the computer suddenly popped a Prism Tower right outside my base. Those of you who're familiar with that game know that it's not supposed to be able to do that. Not that it helped any because the thing was demolished by my heavy defences, but it still made me go "wtf?" And he did it several times too, till I decided to destroy him.

In many FPS's the enemies weapons do more damage than you're. Not because health has been increased, but because the same weapon in the hands of an enemy does more damage.

I came to say Mario Kart as well!

Been playing Double Dash recently, whenever I start to do well, the cpu just keeps getting all the best weapons until they're ahead of me!

CoD4 on veteran. Instead of trying to make it actually challenging IW opted to just have a thousand grenades fly at you every second.
I was never killed by grenades on Veteran, at least not any more than normal. What got me was how the enemy targeted me and only me 100% of the time. And my allies all stayed behind me, and never fired a single round.
It turned CoD4 into Halo [Minus the super-jumpy-shieldy-parts].
I know. And how your friendly AI are dumb as bricks and the enemy will waltz on up right next to you when they are all around him, and the enemy blows your brains out.

Any racing game that has "catch-up". I hate that. AI car crashes, is 15-20sec behind on a lap, then the next, he's right on my tail again. So annoying!
