Well, well, well, after poking around on the internet, i came across 2 things... (they are rumours yes...but bare with me)

A Digimon, and Pokemon live action film... o_O

now...im excited, but also nervous at the same time...just to how good/bad these films (if made) will be.

apparently the Pokemon is in development where some kids unearth a tomb and all the creatures are let lose (it wont follow Ash Ketchum and follow completely different people).

the Digimon one is tough but their are loads of teaser trailers

soooo...your thoughts? *hides behind metal wall* don't hurt me XD
I looked around, and I haven't found any proof of either of those series being made into live-action movies. Do you have links? Because if not, you shouldn't believe fan-made productions on Youtube

It'll probably be about as good as that Dragon Ball live action film.

... Yeah. Sorry.

Sounds about as dreadful as an American-made live action Akira, only it would be so bad that it would be funny.

I would like to suggest casting Christopher Walken as Pikachu, Johnny Depp as Ash Ketchum, Amy Whinehouse as Misty, Arnold Schwarzenager as Brock.....

Noooonononononono, don't do that to Pokemon.

Digimon as much as I disliked it has a much more solid based for live action.

And to be honest as much as Ash frequently irritated the living life out of me, he was detrimental to the story and filled what needed to filled, Pokemon without Ash is just... a bunch of weird creatures running around pew - pew'ing each other with personality-less kids yelling attacks.

Ash had time to develop his character, stupid or not, we grew up and laughed at/with him all the same. Pokemon needed a series.

Out of the two, although my least favorite. I'd prefer Digimon to receive the treatment.

People would STILL flock to the Pokemon live action movie because, well it's pokemon and not about Ash Ketchum anymore (he was good in the first season, and MAYBE even season 2, but after awhile, it just gets old, he one the championship, how much more can he do besides win again and again?)

Digimon, if its the first season in live action, I would see that. A) The story wasn't the best, but it kept you as curious as the kids were about the strange new Digiworld, and B)Etemon, the best Digimon ever.

Both do have potential. A serious Pokemon movie with the same fire under it like the manga did and we'd have something that isn't DBE like. Digimon also has potential if it can capture the same shock and awe the first season did. The seasons after fell because the digiworld wasn't as new and exciting to discover and figure out as it was in the first

Well, this should be awesome. I remember the last time Nintendo made a film. It was bad if you were too wrapped up in the fandom, but otherwise ok.

I wouldn't even bother seeing the digimon movie, but i just might consider seeing the live action pokemon movie if it had a solid storyline and only with the first generation of pokemon

My first feeling when I saw the title: "Ugh, no."

This feeling continues with both of these ideas.

If the Pokemon movie did follow the first season, who would you get to play the main characters?

Here's my vote:
Ash- Andy Samberg
Misty- Emma Watson but with her hair dyed red
Brock- Either Samuel Jackson or Harold from White Castle
Professor Oak- Brad Pitt
Gary- Zack Efron only because I'd like to see him get his ass kicked
Pikachu- Vin Diesel
Oh god please yes, YES! DO IT!

Anyway, as most people have said, just no... I'm taking the same stand I took with The Last Airbender, please keep it the way it was good.

Michael Bay should direct both... And i think that Russel Crowe should play Ash and Christian Bale as Misty. And of course Hugh Jackman as Pikachu!

Probably a joke, since I wrote to Nintendo when I was little and suggested the idea to them. They said that they couldn't take ideas from fans, and weren't planning on making a live action Pokemon movie, ever. They then suggested I watch the Mario one they made a while back. I think that was because they wanted to show me how much of a disaster that one was and why they weren't keen on trying it again.
