1. Team building. I go through each Pokemon game just waiting to find the next Pokemon I want to catch. I bond with my six members through the whole game, and there is no better feeling to me than seeing my six little underdogs conquer the Elite 4 at the end.

2. The only starter Pokemon I like enough to actually use in my team is Totodile, so I guess it would be him. But generally I have a rule not to use starter Pokemon.

3. Ice. I love Ice types. They started out pretty rocky, but they've given me some of my favorite Pokemon from Sneasel to Frosloss to Beartic

4. Brick Break. It's a good solid move that has saved my ass more times than I can count. I think pretty much every single game since the move was introduced someone on my team has used it.

5. Protagonist - Call me a sucker, but Red
Gym Leader - Tough call, but I really liked Byron.
Rival - Silver, no doubt. I didn't like him much as an actual "rival" (I think Blue was best there) but I liked him the most as a character.
Team Enemies - Team Rocket, no doubt. I liked them because they didn't strike me as these cartoonish terrorists. They knew that the true secret to ruling wasn't in summoning god like creatures to do your bidding. It was all about the Money. Money and Pokemon can rule the world just fine.
Elite Member - Lorelei. 'cause...ok, she was just really sexy.

6. Um...Hmm...I don't pay much attention to legendary Pokemon to be honest. I've always really liked Celebi.

7. The vast majority of baby Pokemon. Except for the very rare occasions where the Baby is capable of learning or accomplishing something that the adult form can't, I really just don't understand the purpose of a baby Pokemon.

8. I think it would be nice if they made some sort of male evolution for Combee. Something akin to Heracross. That's just off the top of my head though. I'm sure if I put more thought into it I'd have a better answer.

Extra - I would also like to name my favorite Pokemon from each generation

1. Haunter
2. Sudowoodo
3. Tropius
4. Froslass
5. Scrafty

And I'm very excited to see all the new stuff that Black and White 2 is gonna bring to the table. They're kinda making it sound like Gen 5 is gonna have even MORE new Pokemon on top of all the ones that B/W introduced. New starters, perhaps, and even more beyond that. Needless to say, I'm excited.

1. I like the battles the best doesn't matter if it's online or in game, I love to fight. (To bad I can't get online though)

2. My starter would be Oshawott and I would begin in the Hoenn region.

3. Water I'm a huge fan of the Water type.

4. Why Mirror Coat of course. Although it's risky and takes proper prediction to use. Although when mastered can do some serious damage. (Except for the Dark types, the move doesn't work on them.) If I had to pick a move that doesn't involve your opponent going first, then it would have to be Ice Beam.

5. favourite Characters
Protagonist=Black or Hilbert from Black/White
Gym Leader=Flannary from the Hoenn games.
Rival=Blue from the gen 1 games (Yes I know he becomes a Gym Leader, but I still think of him as a rival.)
Team Enemies=None I'm afraid.
Elite Member=Either Grimsely for his awesome quotes or Aaron, who made bugs cool. (I'm serious before fighting Aaron my reaction to the bug type was "meh". After fighting him my reaction was "Holy shit bugs are awesome.")

6. Kyogre actually I love the weather trio in general.

7. There is no such thing as a useless Pokemon only useless trainers. Oh wait Unknown yeah them, felt like I was just suppose to collect them and nothing more.

8. Can't think of any I'm afraid.

Also I can't stand over the top gen one fans, not the ones who keep there opinions to themselves, I'm talking about the ones who try to force it down your throat. It's even worse when their not actually fans are just jumping on the hate bandwagon.

Oh and I never really understood design complaints, after all every gen has its weird Pokemon not to mention the name Pokemon means Pocket Monster. They are Monsters! Of course some of them are going to look weird and silly, that's the whole point. Also despite being played by some adults the series is targeted at kids. Kids don't want normal animals they can see those any time, they want Monsters. Which is exactly what Pokemon provides.

Finally I'll just drop of these funny flash videos.

(I don't really think N is gay, but love the look on Hilda's face.)

I admit I'm bothered by the fans who refuse to admit that the new Gens are any good, but I'm also just as bothered by the fans who try to put down Gen 1 just for being old.

I remember when English names were being announced and people were like "Ah, that name is so boring and unoriginal" someone would always just go "Seel. 'nuff said." and I'm like "No...no, it's NOT enough said."

Like in my opinion, Geodude is one of the most clever awesome names I've ever seen for a rock monster, and Gen 5 hasn't exactly broken away from tradition. We have a Pokemon called Boldore.

"Ekans is just Snake spelled backwards. How lazy is that?"
Yeah...thank god they grew out of that and came up with great new names like Rotom.

In my eyes, every game has had its fair share of great designs, not so great designs, clever names, simple names, etc. etc.

I mean honestly, Gen 5 is my second favorite now. I thought they did a great job.

My least favorite Gen is Gen 4 because I thought they put too much emphasis into new evolutions, but even Gen 4 has some of my favorites in it (Gastrodon, Froslass, and Leafeon is my favorite Eeveelution)

TL;DR version: Hooray for Pokemon.

I love the adventure of seeing new places and experiencing new things. The journey across an entire continent in pokemon feels massive, showing you so many sights and places. I also like building the baddest team possible with whatever 'mons are available. I've had to make some hard decisions in Gen 5, because there are a lot of fantastic new pokemon that I absolutely love.

Gen 5 was a fantastic Generation for pokemon, leagues ahead of Gen 4 IMO. It's the best Generation since Gen 2.

2
Ugh... Hard one.
Kanto: Charmander
Johto: Cindaquil
Hoenn: Torchic
Sinnoh: Turtwig
Unova: Oshawott (Samurai otter! FTW!)
3
Either Psychic or Dragon
4
Let's not get started here.
5
Who's your fav characters
Either Red, Gold, or Black
I don't really have a favorite gym leader, none of them really stick with me.
Silver. Easy.
Either Team rocket or team galactic.
Lance

6
Mewtwo! Back in his day being legendary meant something!

7
Gyrados. Why in the hell would you ever evolve a perfectly good magikarp once he knows flail? He sweeps teams and breaks souls.

8
Mmm... Can't say I know for sure.

1) Probably the gameplay, it's cool that you can get a team of what appears to be elementally tuned/superhuman animals and simply progressing through it.

2) Cyndaquil in Johto.

3) Psychic

4) Dragonbreath, it's reasonably strong (probably not as strong as other powerful yet accuracte moves like thunderbolt) and has a nice Paralysis rate.

5) favorite characters
Red, he's plain, but there just isn't anything to hate, Gold would've been close tied between Hilda and May. (not that those 3 are bad)

Fantina...all that purple, those random bits of french and even that hair and dress! :O

Silver, he was an awesome rival, Blue/Gary wasn't really that intimidating, maybe he was a slightly aggressive, doesn't help that the rivals of the 2 later gens was either friendly or unmemorable.

Team Rocket, mostly because their goals were more feasible and realistic, even after being beaten down by a 10 Year old Kid, they didn't stay down, for the past 3 years they have secretly been conducting experiments with radiowaves, and they still have ownership of 2 casinos.

Cynthia (Champs count?) she just feels more fleshed out compared to past E4 members, she has mystique, fuels the backstory and shes probably one of the major strong women of the series. <3

6) Cresslia

7) Possibly the Kricketot line, not that its useless, just that out of all pokemon within their respective generations, Kricketot simply isn't that memorable, sure it evolves at level 10, but it doesn't compare to other pokemon in the area such as Shinx, Starly or even possibly Budew.

8) Probably Jynx, think about it, sure it has slightly more in common with Mr. Mime than it does with Marmar/Electabuzz, but it gained a prevo with those 2, but it never gained an evolution, im unaware of its battle ability, mostly want it to have an evolution for consistency's state.

Does N count as a rival? If so, then it's actually a tossup between him and Silver for me, personally.

N is seen as the true rival of b/w.

Awesome, I'm glad to have that confirmed. I absolutely refused to believe that Cheren and Bianca were your two rivals in that game. They were both pathetically easy every time they showed their faces.

1. The journey I guess.

2. Oshawott and Isshu/Unova

3. Psychic

4. The move Psychic

5. Solana or Kate if the Ranger Series counts. White/Hilda if not.
Blaine.
N. Loved him as a character. I really hope he comes back in Black and white 2.
Team Plasma. The hypocrisy of some of their actions made me laugh.
Cynthia or Lance.

6. Mewtwo because of his story in the anime, or Shaymin Land Form.

7. Hmm... I'll get back to you on that.

8. Anything that doesn't already have an Pre/Evolution.

1. I like capturing and training various Pokemon. I also enjoy developing different teams to battle against other trainers and the Elite Four.

2. I normally choose the Fire starter, but if I could choose, it would be Charmander and start in Johto (my favorite region).

3. I like using a balanced team of different types. My favorite type to use is Fire Pokemon.

4. It's a tie between Flamethrower (because it's a Fire move) and Metronome, because it is completely random and I usually end up getting the move that I needed.

5. Protagonist = Male protagonist from Pokemon Silver/Soul Silver
Gym Leader = Flannery from Lavaridge Town
Rival = Gary/Blue
Team enemies = Team Magma and Team Aqua
Elite member = Lance

6. Lugia, but I would also say Mew.

7. I don't believe that any one Pokemon is useless, especially if you can develop an effective team. For a while, though, I believed that Smeargle was useless because it only had Sketch as a move and it would just continue to Struggle for the rest of the match.

8. Rapidash. I have no idea why they haven't given Rapidash a new evolution. Can anyone say "Fire Pegasus" Pokemon?

2: Chimchar
3: Ghost and/or Psychic
4: Sky Uppercut
5: Not sure
6: Kyogre and Deoxys (Defense Mode)
7: Magikarp
8: Luxray, Lucario, and Alakazam

1. The best thing about pokemon would be the gameplay. Kids can leap right into it without trouble while more seasoned players can focus on the small details to make their ultimate team

2. The starter I would choose would be Chimchar and the region I would prefer to start in would be Hoenn

3. I feel more partial towards the fighting or fire type, because they have some of my favourite pokemon (such as Arcanine and Typhlosion for fire and Scrafty and Lucario for fighting)

4. Favourite move...I guess I don't have one

5. Protagonist: I like Red the most, mainly due to the nostalgia factor. Without it, I don't particularly have one
Gym Leader: Brawly. He always provides a challenge for me and does it through sheer power as opposed to hax (looking at you Whitney)
Rival: Blue. The rivalry seems more defined to me seeing as he has been Red's rival "since they were babies" according to Oak
Team: Galactic. They had the largest scale operation, superiors that actually fought (well most, unlike the Sages in Team Plasma) and they would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids and their dumb professor!
Elite Four Member: I don't have one

6. Why Arcanine of course! It's a legendary pokemon. Wait...you mean it's not? Alright, Arecus for the pure reason that it is a god of pokemon

7. Sunkern. It has the lowest base stats of any pokemon. Even Magikarp has better stats and that is saying a lot!

8. Too many to mention here

Id probably count him as a Rival, though then again, BW essentially has 2 Rivals, Cheren is more on the helpful side of the spectrum though, he's some guy who jumps you near some corners in the attempt to be champion who would most likely get bored due to having the power instead of the enjoyment of the journey, he essentially gets his information from textbooks.

With that said, he probably has more personality than the rival of R/S and Pseudo-Rival from DP.

For me, it's the journey. You start off as a measly kid with one pokemon that grows into a giant party. You are the ultimate 10 year old beating up fully grown men/women champions, catching legendary pokemon that are practically GODS etc..
2
My favourite starter is Treecko. He's pretty badass from the start. My favourite region is Johto.
3
My favourite type would be ground. Maybe rock?
4
My favourite move is Ice Beam. Nice and strong, but also accurate. The ice type pokemon is terrible though, just teach Ice Beam to a water type. God forbid you have a pure ice type...
5
Fave character: Joey... and his ratatta
Protagonist: Gold. Not the one from HeartGold either. Proof he is the best:

Gym Leader: Brawly. Brawly is IMO THE toughest gym I have ever fought. I know second gyms have a habit of kicking your ass (except in gold/silver), but brawly is the worst. I mean, REALLY tough.
Rival: Blue (gary).
Team enemies: Rocket. I'm not really bothered otherwise though.
Elite member: Lance. Him and his three dragonites. Imagine how much time it must take to get THREE dragonites.

6
Mewtwo. Mewtwo is IMO the best legendary in existence.

6. Fav Char(s):Gary Motherfucking Oak.
7. Fav Legendary: Zapdos
8. Most Usless Pokemon: Magicarp. Duh.
9. Pokemon that should get better/differnent Evolution(s): Furret. That was one of my favorites.
