Nah, because you had to start with Pikachu, which are useless in the game. If it had given you Ash's brokenchu, that would have been alright.

Anyway, I would submit that the fact that it had Arcanine in made Red superior.

Pokemon Blue's pretty good, first video game I ever owned.
I do prefer Crystal to it, though. To me, that was the highlight of the series.
I've also gone back to Stadium 2 and Tetris.

Firered is a remake of Pokemon Red. So it's a remake of something old. Some people think that Firered sucks because it's not "The original". But that is why it is better. It sounds better and looks better.
