link's awakening was one of these that i was playing recently. it's fun, although i am completely lost as to what to do next on it.

i was also playing pokemon red quite recently... it was pretty good, but it made me realise how much i missed all the little added features once they were removed. although to me, pokemon sapphire was the perfect balance of speed and quality.

I played Blue and twin brother played Red. Both are pretty equal.

Still Emerald and Sapphire are better than Red and Blue. I played a bit on the DS Pokemon game but I played for some hours but it's all pretty much the same.

They also seems to have this rule where a fisherman NEEDS to have a team full of Magickarp.

Well the games are fun from time to time. Leveling up your pokemon and beating the living crap out of other pokemon with no problem is pretty fun. The games can be a bit to easy thou. In Blue I kinda just went around with Bulbasaur and owned everything. Well with the exception of certain pokemons.

Can't find Z.O.E. for The GBA :( THAT was a good game.
and golden sun. and (blah blah blah endless list ahoy)
I liked that game, well both of them. But right now I'm talking about ZOE. Lots of text, but a generally good strategy game.

Golden Sun was great, I can't wait for Golden Sun DS. Camelot Software is fucking awesome. I've loved them ever since Shining Force.

Gold and Silver are still the best of the series.

You could go through two regions worth of gyms and challenge the legendary trainers from Red and Blue.

Recently discovered my old SNES and have been playing wayy too much of the good old Street Fighter II.
Learning how to hadouken again after 10 or so years, is a really liberating experience.

Yes, Pokemon Blue is freaking awesome.
To answer the question, basically I can go back to any of my N64 games and get hooked again.

Well, I think the GBA games are probably the most fun I have with Pokemon. You know, FireRed through Emerald, that stuff?

I still dig Close Combat V: Invasion Normandy myself as an old old game. And EV Nova.

The reason I keep my Wii around is for some virtual console games. I beat Link to the Past again recently, am playing Ocarina of Time, and absolutely love Super Metroid.

Also, I tried to get my Genesis working to play the awesomeness of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, but unfortunately the audio-video cable doesn't seem to be working. Shame, too, as the Genesis is what made me a gamer and, to an extent, who I am.

Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
That game kicks every other games ass out there.

I loved pokemon Gold the best.

I actually don't have a game I go back to, but it's probably Killer7 seeing how I've beaten it 3 times already (which is a lot for me).

Pokemon itself is still pretty solid as it ever was.

A good all rounder RPG that make most of my friends not realise that there are essentialy playing Final Fantasy with cute monsters.

Those idiots always mock the RPG genre when they themselves love Pokemon. It's awesome to spring on people wen they contradict themselves.
