I was never the kid that went through the entire game with a single (perhaps two) Pokemon, but I did use legendaries in my younger days, but never a team entirely made of them.

I always found underdog Pokemon far more interesting than legendaries.

Yes, but only because there is a serious lack of interesting flying type pokemon that aren't.

I use all three of them, had to put in plenty of work to capture them so you better believe I intend to reap the rewards of it. Sad I can't use Mewtwo because you only get that after the elite 4.

Nope, I prefer to use the 6 I found lying around and training to be my own. It just seems more enjoyable and fulfilling to see the creature you have grown attached to after hours of journeying be there against the champion and beating them down.

I don't usually use Legendaries on my initial run through the Elite 4, I fight them with my core team I've been using throughout the game (especially in Y, I had 8-10 levels on their best Pokemon). I may use them on rematches just for fun.

I did for two games, back when I first got Ruby and when I played through Leaf Green. I was so psyched about Groudon that I kept him around. When it came to Green, I had already beaten the original games so many times without them I figured filling my team with the legendary birds would be fun. It was.

Generally I don't use legendaries though.

I never use legendaries. They're pretty to look at, but just feel wrong on a team to me.
Capture and throw in a box, that's all I do with them.

Nah. Usually, i focused on leveling my starter pokemon and one hit ko'ing my opponent's pokemon.

I just played through FireRed again, and I only used Zapdos. It made me a little sad to ignore the other two birds, but I had no place for them in my team.
Most of the time I do use at least one of the legendaries, simply because I went through the trouble to get them, and dammit, I'm going to put them in fights!
You just made me a very happy person.

In Ruby, Pearl and Heartgold, I replaced my HM slave with my version's legendary but barely used either of them. Admittedly without training they're mostly just holding on anyway. In Blue version I also loved Zapdos, though he's more pseudo legendary.

Every other game? I'm too attached to my team to use legends.

I did it back in the days of Red. The ONLY time I've done it since then was in White, but that was purely because the game sort of WANTS you to use Zekrom to fight Reshiram.

Other than that, I prefer to use Pokes I've raised myself to fight the champ, rather than cheesing it with a legendary.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I used Lugia and Suicune in GSC.

I see no problem with it. For Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum all the legendaries are only 45. They can still get their asses kicked.

Hell, in Black and White 2 you don't even catch a legendary until after you beat the league.

That's probably why they're so rare, come to think of it.
I believe there's an urban legend that most US banknotes have small traces of Legendary Pokemon on them.

Yes, and then my Zekrom got stomped because it is inferior to Reshiram.

OT: No, I don't, it's too piss easy these days to even think they're vaguely needed. I do sometimes run a pseudo though, such as Salamence or Dragonite.

Only if the only other way to beat them is to spend hours grinding because I'm too underleveled.

Nah, I tend not to use Pokemon that are given to me, or the powerful ones that everyone use- just because it feels like it takes away from the feeling of being a badass trainer. I even ditch my starter, once I have a good replacement
