Why do the legendaries leave after defeat or victory? I mean you can claim they they want to escape now that someone knows where they are, but they are the freaking legnedaries damn it! They have destroyed moutains, caused ice ages, and rose the continents up! What do they have to fear from a ten year old child?
yup, my theory is that the movies/tv show and the games exist in seperate dimensions.

As for Dreiko's comment, never thought of it that way. Just proves my "Oaks an ass" idea though =P
So, either he's helping you and damning his blood and he's an ass or he helps his blood and damns you and he's an ass...

There's no way out for him, is there? lol

Since Pokemon replace actual animals in the poke-verse. Do people eat them?

Has a Pokemon trainer ever been stranded somewhere and figured that his Pidgey would be pretty goddamn tasty if it was roasted over an open fire?
Does Manky taste more like pig or like monkey?
Do larger, predatory Pokemon hunt smaller ones?

Do the gym leaders always stay in their gyms?

Why are there only like 2 actual homes in any town you visit?
In order:

1. Yes. Farfetch'd are tasty.

2. No, because if he HAD a Pidgey, he'd just Fly away.

3. Neither. Chicken.

4. Well, that's generally what predators DO.

5. Nope. In Black/White, they leave the gym all the time.

6. Pokemon World is affected by the economic crisis too. All the other houses were foreclosed.

2. Rule 34

The thing I find weird is I can fit about 99 of anything in my pockets or bag, but only 6 Pokemon, all of which having the first memory to only retain 4 tricks at once.
cant argue much (rule 34?) but yea, i never noticed that. i can accept the backpack bit just because many non harcore rpgs forget that things have weight and mass, but that is some pretty pathetic memory. Especially since the pokemon in the show could most certainly use more than that (off the top of my head, pikachu could use tackle, quick attack, thunderbolt, volt tackle, and double team.)
rule 34 If it exsists, there is a porn of it, if there isn't there will be
just guessing you didn't know because of the question mark

There is a church in pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum

They never say who they are worshiping
Arceus, duh.
Although thats what I'd say, they never directly say it.

For all we know they could be worshipping Dialga or Palkia
or be Satanists and worship Giratina (All 4 of them are deitys)

I'll edit my previous post to include this info.

For those of you who aren't haven't already, a few webcomics do very funny pokemon jokes and stuff.

Super effective is completely devoted to it - http://www.vgcats.com/super/?strip_id=0

Manly guys doing Manly things also has some funny sections involving Jared the trainer and "Mr Fish". There's lots involving him but this page and the 3 or 4 that follow are his big intro - http://thepunchlineismachismo.com/archives/99

Something odd: Nidoran is the only pokemon to have the two sexes look different.

Also

The entire game is Red ruining Blues life. Not only do you kill his raticate, but the orphan's grandfather favors you over him as well.

Only in the first game. After that, quite a few Pokemon appear different based on gender. Unfezant is especially notable in this.

Everybody stands in the same spot forever. Nobody ever moves, eats, sleeps, drinks, goes to the bathroom, ANYTHING. This bothers me with just about every game.

Some of the lines that NPC trainers say when starting a battle can be really weird.

There was one in particular that really creeped me out, it was in Pokemon black at one of the stadiums in Nimbasa city.

"Mmm you smell just like an athelite, lets battle."

Also the Nurse who works in the Centre I have two words for her, sadistic Pyscho.

I mean who wants to hear the words "Hope to see you again" after leaving a hospital?

Don't you mean route 34 where the daycare is in Johto?

In Black City, the whole drive of the mayor is to be the most greedy.Kind of throws the more adult story idea they were selling out the window into the can driven to the dump and then burned in embers.

How about in Gold/Silver when Clair refused to give you the badge she owes you until you find her a Dragon fang? This happens in the HeartGold/SoulSilver as well (no dragon fang, but you still go into dragon's den looking for something), and an NPC even calls her out for it.

1. Prof. Oak is an ass!- this is something I looked over for a long time, but i realized, doesn't it seem odd that when Oak asks for you and his relative (son? nephew?) to come to the lab for a pokemon, he gives you one first, and when your rival asks what about him all Oak says is "shh! wait your turn!" seems odd that he seems to prefer his neighbor over his own flesh and blood.
1. It's his grandson, actually, and It might because [rival]'s a bit of an asshole in Red/Blue and FireRed/LeafGreen. He was there first though.

2.The old lady who heals you in Emerald: in a cabin in the woods theres an old lady who will heal you, but afterwards insists on healing you again... over and over. Is it me or is it kind of creepy? i get a vibe of her being either a pedo or a witch who wants to eat me (tire me out instead of fatten me up?).
She's in Ruby and Sapphire to, and I don't like stopping in that cabin either. It's just plain creepy.

HeartGold and Soulsilver too. In fact, they're not in the gym very often after you've beaten the game.

It's odd to me that some pokemon evolve when they reach a certain level, but some require the use of a rare stone, others require leveling up while holding a rare stone and others you have to do something that's so ridiculously convoluted, you'd absolutely need a guide to figure it out and even then it's such a pain it doesn't seem worth it... I'm thinking specifically evolving Onix into Steelix in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. I just caught one later on (funny, I really wanted steelix for a long time, and now that I have one I don't see the need to use it)

There doesn't seem to be any reasoning behind, seems they just wanted to make some pokemon a real pain in the ass.

Disturbingly this is supported by the pokedex, several entries on Pidgeot mention its sharp talons and keen eyes able to spot and snatch Magikarp up from great distances, and even more recently those anteater pokemon (Heatmor) have an entry that literally says they melt down the steel ant pokemon (Durant) in the same area and devour their innards 0_o

Entries edit:

"PIDGEOT (Red/Blue) When hunting, it skims the surface of water at high speed to pick off unwary prey such as Magikarp."

"HEATMOR: Using their very hot, flame-covered tongues, they burn through Durant's steel bodies and consume their insides."

Or, you know, she wants you to not be brutally killed by the ferocious wildlife. Pokémon aren't exactly cuddly kittens.
