the thing with 4 attacks always seemed odd to me too but recently i developed the theory that the Government lunched a dense net of satellites that emit radiation to stop pokemon from developing higher brain functions so they don't take over the world. side effect: o more than 4 attacks at a time.

1. Prof. Oak is an ass!- this is something I looked over for a long time, but i realized, doesn't it seem odd that when Oak asks for you and his relative (son? nephew?) to come to the lab for a pokemon, he gives you one first, and when your rival asks what about him all Oak says is "shh! wait your turn!" seems odd that he seems to prefer his neighbor over his own flesh and blood.
call gary 'a homo' and some lines are brilliant 'ha yes my nephew is a homo' 'a homo!?! what should I do?'

1. there are pokemon graves but your pokemon don't die

2. eggs that turn into a palm tree, how does that evolution work?

also 'the champion is a homo'

Professor Oak's Pokedex already has all the pokemon information on it!

He sends you out to get information on pokemon but when you opint his dex at a pokemon it tells you about its eating habits, where it lives and other thigns one could only know if you observed it for a long time, like the fact that Haunter makes the temperature around it drop by several degrees or that when a cubone is born, it wears its mothers skull.

Your whole journey was pointless.

Why do the legendaries leave after defeat or victory? I mean you can claim they they want to escape now that someone knows where they are, but they are the freaking legnedaries damn it! They have destroyed moutains, caused ice ages, and rose the continents up! What do they have to fear from a ten year old child?
Hey. That 10 year old child has BALLS.

Pokeballs.
You sir, just won my respect. Well played gent... well played.

Yeah when you look at Pokemon there are alot of things odd about it.

Another thing that I've noticed in that most of the games the starting town only ever has about 3 buildings; you family's, someone else's (the Professor's family's or your rivals'), and the Professor's lab. But there's always some random people walking around. And one's always fat. WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?
Taking a glance at the last image...I'm guessing you live in America?
Yeah, but still, think about the economy based in the Pokemon world where hospital care can be totally free (no matter how severe the injury or number of times you use it) but a bottle of Lemonade is 350 Pokedollars. The only way I can see this making sense is that the hospital treatment is incredibly easy and cheap while lemonade is some sort of luxury item.

I don't care where you live in the world this economy is wack.
Your overthinking it. If you think about it, it's a safety net for new players that haven't played many rpg yet. Beside, If they were to make it payable depending on injury, you would pay a fix amount of cash per lost HP proportional to the level of the pokemon. Meaning that a ... (shit, it's been like 13 years since i've played that.) thing that have the Harden attack that everyone call penis will cost less to cure then that dragon with Piccolo's antennas when damaged. You'll also need insurance, which will be extremely expensive since you throw them into battle. If the injury isn't cover, you'll have to pay more. If it his, you'll have to pay then wait a few month for them to make some investigation then send some cash. Then there's serious danger that your pokemon became disable (I heard that Hulk Hogan can no longer bend his knees).

Also, show me a lemon tree in a pokemon game.

Surely you are aware of more forms of currency than just American dollars?

Think for a moment...where did the game come from? What country?

As for the hospital. I doubt it's 'free'; think more in terms of nationalized health-care.

But then again 3/4 of the employees are chansey (Or for this generation Audino) while the other 1/4 are Nurse Joys
Only one of them needs a salary.

Hey, all just because the game is supposed to be simple and easy to get into doesn't mean we can't pick apart the logic.

Plus it gives us plenty of good jokes to work with.

Then please, tell us how would you keep the core simplicity and gameplay but make it more realistic.

Also, the jokes' been done to death, back to life, then death again. It's more death then "the cake is a lie" joke that make you more sorry for the bloke that spew it out then Old Yeller's final moment in the movie.

Fine Pokeyen. It doesn't matter. You're still paying for a drink but never paying for hospital care, whether directly or through taxes. Plus there's barely any government seen at all except for the Pokecenters and Police force.

I'm not saying that the game has to be super serious and everything has to fit together, but that doesn't mean I can't make fun of the logical hiccups it has.
