Ok, I'm not a hopeless fanboy of the series but I find it amazing that the show's hero, Ash, doesn't have a love interest yet. May has Drew and it looks like Dawn may end up with Kenny. Misty is obviously a candidate as well as Angie for Ash's attention but seriously, it's getting stupid. The show's hero is supposed to have a love interest espiecally in an anime show from Japan. Anyone else agree.
(I'm sorry if this has already been done but I didn't have time to use the search button. I had an important thing to do.)

[edit]I'm noticing a few of the replies are a bit harsh so I'm adding, "try and be nice."

Misty, of course.

I stopped watching it after the Johto series, though I have watched my cousin while he watched.

I think you'll find this explains all areas of Pokemon:

It's the Ash-in-a-coma theory
It's a bit long winded but give it a go.

On another note..It's not like I watch the show or anything but I am pretty sure there is a gym leader that fell showed interest in Ash. I believe it was the one that used telepathy to talk to her pokemon in the second to latest season. Not that I love pokemon or anything.

I love pokemon. It's so awesome. I pre-ordered Platinum for the sheer amount of win I knew it would be.

nooooooooooo, it dosent matter. In the very first episode he informed the audience that he was ten years old. Sure traveling the whole country by one's self on foot would take a while, but he cant be older than 14 now (i stopped watching the show a while back), meaning that, though he has liked girls for a while, he should just start getting into dating, as everyone's body is close to being developed by now.

I know, in the first season, someone says Ash's Pikachu is level 25 and he's been training it for about 10 years now, why's it still so crap ?

Misty, duh.

I stopped watching it during Johto I think.... But he was still like 10 (well, maybe 12 it must take a while to travel the country on foot/bike/pokemon back) then so he didn't have hormones yet (because the show wasn't written by Clamp.)

Although I don't think every story needs a "love interest," we don't need to inject shipping into everything. I mean, Misty I can dig, there was chemistry there. But she's gone, so so much for that. I would be more pissed off if they just randomly started pairing him off with people.

Also how old is Ash supposed to be now?

Ash is a complicated character his love for his pokemon overrules his desire to get sex plus anytime he tries he pulls out that Furry outfit(a costume you sicko) and tries to make them wear it

Easily 15. I base it off of each set of movies he's two years older. So, after movie 5 he was 12, after movie 9 he was 14.

In my opinion, things are ruined quickly because of romance. For something like pokemon, there shouldnt even be a romance, its a show about mutant animals beating each other senseless. Anywya, I stopped watching after the first season, also known as, the only god one.
Well, I'm not talking about that heavy stuff like a reality TV show or a god awful soap opera but just something subtle to let us know who he likes.

One of the few things I remember about Ash and his stupid rat is that he refused to have it evolve.

What a wimp.

I always thought that Ash would reproduce asexually.

And, if you think about it, Sean Connery would say "Ashexual". Just food for your brain.

Whatever, I will give my answer to whom I think he likes. Pikachu. Ash is a zoophile.
Ok, is zoophile even a word and I mean a human -nevermind, it's your opinion
