[Mookie_Magnus]

The sun rose to the East of the Seafoam Islands, a hint of red shadowed in its glow. The bright light shone through the blinds of Magnus's hotel room. Magnus, who had not slept all that night, covered his eyes in an attempt to alleviate the situation.

"It's morning?" Magnus sighed. "Ugh... It's been a rough night... I hope that Dani, Alan, and Brandon aren't still mad at me..."

Magnus turned on the television, and changed it to the news. It was one of those morning talk shows that usually started with some phrase involving the morning. This one was called Wake-Up Kanto!, but he switched the channel. He decided that there was nothing on at this early hour, so he switched off the television and decided to get something in his stomach... All that alcohol and no food was giving him a major hang-over... Something expected after first night out.

Before he left, he took a hot shower and changed his clothes.

As he left his room, he stepped on a note that had been stuck under the gap in the door. He picked it up, and read it.

Magnus,
We'll all be at the Hospital with Jeffrey when you come around to feeling better. We're all taking Aari's death badly, even if we weren't as close to her as you were, we're still hurting. Talk to us when you feel up to it... Just take things slowly.

"That's right..." Magnus said to himself, closing the door. "Jeffrey was hurt in the crossfire... I should go see them. I'll them that I'm fine, and it's all okay. I've cried long enough..."

Magnus left, and headed for the Hospital to see Jeffrey and the rest of his friends.

jeffery continued to lay in his bed awaiting the doctor and his needle...

"god dammit when will he get here already" jeffery said anxiously awaiting the doctor's arrival.

"I thought you hated needles" lucario asked.

"yeah but the suspense is what really does it" jeffery replied craning his neck to see if the doctor was here yet he saw a shadow moving closer he thought it was the doctor's and started staring at the door in anticipation the shadow got closer and closer.....

Oh time, how fickle you are. I'm pretending Magnus' post is coming after terribleyetfun's post and my response since it helps.

Will he want to see me? I doubt he's much in the mood to see a guy who almost beat him halfway to death before a guy tried to finish the job. Alan simply dropped to the floor outside Jeffery's room and sighed. "Staryu. Can you go in there and talk to him? I don't think he'll be thrilled to see me right now, you know? Just make sure he's fine."

"Sure thing..." Staryu went in and left Alan outside.

When he entered Staryu got a quick look of suspicion from the several Pokemon on guard. "I see that everyone's as worried as Alan is about this then..."

"not really I`m just here for the food and to make sure jeffery gets his needles" lucario said before punching jeffery in his good arm.

"oh goddammit, don`t tell me something happened to Alan too I don`t think this place has enough beds" jeffery groaned rubbing the spot where lucario punched

"no Alan is fine" staryu replied.

"well,okay but why did he send you here seems kind of cowardly if you ask me" Jeff said curious as to why Alan did`nt come here himself.

"well he was kinda nervous about talking to you face to face after what happened this morning" staryu said sheepishly.

"well that`s understandable tell him I`m fine and that I hold a slight grudge for what he did and tell him that he should be less of a douche about getting someone's attention" jeffery said remembering what happened this morning.

"okay I`l tell him" staryu said as he turned around and exited the room.

"So how is he?"

"Kinda pissed off at you. Surprisingly calm. Otherwise I'm pretty sure he's okay."

"Can't blame him..." Alan sighed. "I did act a bit stupid."

"A bit stupid? You beat the guy several shades of blue and that's a bit stupid for you?"

"Fine! A lot stupid. But come on, I hardly thought he'd be in hospital after a fricking murder attempt."

They both stayed quite for a while after that. Alan was wondering whether he should have turned up at all if he wasn't going to go in there to see Jeffery.

"Maybe you shouldn't just be sitting out here. I bet he'd be a lot less pissed off at you if you helped him through this right now... However hard you lot have it right now, he saw her die... He deserves at least one friend in there who doesn't want him dead."

"Fine then. You've got me." He stood up and grabbed Staryu's 'hand'. "But I still don't think he'll be happy to see me." He pushed open the door and entered Jeffery's room.

Rodney had been running around the hospital building, his horrible sense of direction couple with the frantic pace of events had made his lose his way more then once, finally he found Alan walking into a room with Staryu, most likely Jeffrey's.

Rodney walked in after Alan and recalled all his pokemon, then inspected the wound in Jeffrey's arm.

"That son of a ***** got you pretty badly too" Rodney said his words trailing off towards the end of the sentence, after a brief pause he turned to Alan and asked,

"Is Magnus alright? Also, did you guys tell Dani? and how is everyone else going?".

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus made it to the hospital, but he was dead tired. He decided to make a quick stop at the in-hospital CoffeeBucks. He ordered himself a very large coffee, and the biggest chocolate-chip muffin he had ever seen.

He meandered his way to the nurses' station, and asked for Jeffrey's room. He got on the elevator, and pushed the button. In the elevator were a couple of doctors, some nurses, and other patients.

He arrived at Jeffrey's floor, and stepped off the elevator, past a rolling gurney. Walking through the hall, he arrived in the proper ward. He had eaten through half of his muffin, and about the same amount of coffee when he arrived at Jeffrey's door. He knocked, and waited for the okay to come in.

"yeah still kinda hurts but the morphine helps but what really annoys me is that now I gotta get-" jeffery was interrupted by a knock on the door. "come in" jeffery yelled not expecting it to be anyone important before returning to telling Rodney about the fact that he had to get injections.

"wait if all you need is a few injections what are you still doing here" Rodney asked.

"well they said I should get plenty of rest or something, personally I think they`re spewing nothing but bullshit but hey they got the arrowhead out so I owe them at least some compliance" jeffery said laughing he then turned to Alan.

"so Alan how is everyone else taking it pretty hard I`m guessing" jeffery asked Alan along with Rodney.

Sorry I haven't been posting. I had a rather pleasant meeting with my now ex-bosses on Monday telling me my services would no longer be required, which is just awesome, so yeah, been rough here.

Jared said farewell to his new friend and staggered his way back to the hotel. He slowly made his way up to his room and plunked himself down on the comfy bed.

Man, some party this turned out to be. I take Magnus out and his girlfriend gets murdered. That's awesome planning! Way to go Jared! You fucked up man! Now what's going to happen? Huh? How long is it before your guard is let down, and another one of your friends is iced? You better start fucking taking this fight to them! It's time to end this snipe fest, and fucking start taking down those sons of bitches! Team Rocket's gotta be exterminated! Once and for all, and anything that's linked to em too! Burn em all Jared! Burn them all to ashes!

Jared got up, rubbing his head. "Christ, where's some drinks? He said, heading to the mini bar for a $4 can of Sprite.

Brandon sat up in bed and rubbed his head. He had had trouble sleeping, Magnus losing made him think about Rena and what would happen if she was killed. It still made him shiver. He got up and noticed a note under the door saying that Every one had gone to the hospital to visit Jeffry. He quickly got dressed and set off for the hospital.

Alan nodded, "Mostly. Some people are still shocked about the whole thing... I thought you'd be more choked up about it all though. If I were you I'd be more scared right now about that guy coming back than doctors and needles."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus walked in and saw Jeffrey lying on the bed in a hospital gown, his arm bandaged up rather nicely.

"Right now," Alan said to Jeffrey, as Magnus walked in. "I'd be more scared about that guy coming back, than doctors and needles."

"What does Jeffrey need to get pricked for?" Magnus asked. He looked around and saw Rodney in the corner in the room as well.

"They said it's to prevent any infection that might happen." Jeffrey explained. "I still fuckin' hate needles, though."

"Don't worry about it... They were probably just messing with you. I know I would..."

"What do you mean by 'messing with' me?" Jeffrey looked both upset and puzzled.

"Your doctor probably said that just to bug you. Usually kids and younger teenagers don't much like needles, so they tend to get anxious about it. I'm guessing he was an intern. The real way to prevent infection is by keeping that wound clean, and changing the bandages." Magnus smiled and took a big bit out of his muffin, and took another sip of coffee.

"That little son of a- I'm should punch him in his fuckin' mouth..." Jeffrey seethed.

"Relax Jeff... Don't want you pulling those stitches loose." Magnus set his coffee down and took a seat. "How're you feeling anyway, Jeffrey?"

"We could ask the same thing of you, Magnus." Alan asked him. "Last night... You seemed so out of it. I seriously thought you were going to kill that couple. Now... Now you seem so calm."

"He's right, Mag..." Rodney chimed in. "Are you sure you're alright?"

Magnus looked at his friends somberly, and answered them with a straight face.

"I can't let myself crumble. I've got too many people relying on me. The peoples of Saffron and Lavender. You guys as well. And my Pokemon... in particular, little Eon. I can't let her have died in vain..." A zeal shown in Magnus's eyes, a sort of reserved focus that drove him.

"Anyway... What about you three? I'm guessing you haven't dealt with things properly yet... Have you?" He took another bit of his muffin.

"well if by not properly then by going through surgery and only now discovering that you`ve been sitting in bed for about an hour for nothing then yeah I`d say so" jeffery replied as he started to get out of bed. "now if you`ll excuse me I have to teach an intern that you should`nt lie to people" jeffery said as he was just about to exit but lucario stopped him.

"I am not letting you out,the assassin is still out there" lucario said defending the door.

"fine then, come with because you and I both know that I can move you from that door" jeffery replied staring down lucario who after about five seconds moved away leaving jeffery free to exit the room lucario following behind him.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Oh Jeffrey..." Magnus called. "I wouldn't go out if I were you."

"Oh?" Jeffrey said snarkily. "Why not, Magnus? Is there any particular reason."

"Well... I don't think it was nice of you to boss Lucario around like that. He's only got your best interest in mind."

"Yeah?" Jeffrey turned and approached Magnus, looking up into his face. "Are you going to help him?"

"Why... Yes. Actually, I am going to help Lucario keep you from making a fool of yourself." Magnus pulled one of his Safari Balls from his belt. "Tank... the door, if you please."

The large Rock-Rhino Pokemon beamed out of his pokeball, and sat in front of the door, firmly closing it.

"Rhyhorn. Horn." Move this. Punk.

Thank you Magnus... Anything else you'd like to do? Lucario smiled, and cracked his knuckles.

"Ryu, Thunder Wave." Magnus called out his Dragonair, who wrapped himself around Jeffrey's good arm, and stunned the overly rowdy boy.

Jeffrey, now unable to move, was promptly picked up by Lucario and placed in his bed.

"Get some sleep, Jeff." Magnus smiled at his friend. "You've been up all night... It's already morning. Catch some Zs, you'll heal faster. We'll be right here. Hell, I'll even get that intern back for you."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

A few hours had passed, and Jeffrey had woken up from his forced sleep. Magnus was watching the TV in the room, and Rodney was telling Alan the complete story of how the group had gotten to where they were now.

A pair of knocks was heard from the door, and Jeffrey bade them to enter. Brandon opened the door, accompanied by Dani.

"Good morning, guys..." Magnus greeted them. "Did you sleep well?"

"Magnus... It's good to see you out." Brandon replied.

"Maggie!" Dani ran slightly to Magnus, catching him in a hug. "I was so sad when I heard... You must be so upset... Oh no, I brought it up! Now you're going to get all sad and angry again, and you're going to yell at me! I'm so sorry, Maggie..."

Dani's eyes were beginning to form tears again, but Magnus's hand upon her shoulder reassured her.

"Relax Dani... I'm not angry, at least not at you. I'm not going to yell, and there's no need for you to cry." He returned her hug, and knelt to look her in the eyes. "I'm going to be fine... We're all going to be fine."

"Well... As normal as things are going to be for a while." Magnus replied, smiling. He returned to sitting, and managed to get Dani to stop clinging to him.

"Dani..." Magnus asked the girl. "Would you like me to try and help you with Abby again? I think it'd be good for us to get her to act properly around others. What do you say?"

"Sure Maggie, maybe that will help take our minds off of all the sad things, where should we do it? Is there a park nearby or something?" Dani asked, trying to get her mind off Aari, "Maybe we could just go in the parking lot?"

 

[stormcaller]

"And then, well. We ended up here" Rodney finished up relating everything that had happened to Alan.

"So it was you guys at Pewter and Celadon. Makes sense that the Rockets are after you now..." Alan commented.

Rodney looked at the floor and sighed saying, "And look what it has bought us. Two friends dead and a third possibly gone too."

Rodney overheard Magnus and Dani talking about training while Jeffrey was still sound asleep, Brandon wandered about the room while Jared was presumably off somewhere, nursing a mighty powerful hangover.
