Try to remember that the girl was 15. 15 dammit! No matter what she says, you're the adult. It's your position to act like a civilized human being. If you watch closely, the girl kicks her shoe to them. No matter how rowdy the girl can get, you don't have the right to brutally beat her up. That's what stun guns and anti-riot guns are for.
HAHAHA. Oh man, that's priceless. So instead of using fists to quell a smart-mouthed suspect, go straight for the rubber ammo!

Have you talked to a 15yr old lately? Chances are they think they're more of an adult than you are.

I was exaggerating. And the fact that 15 year-old delinquents are quite rare in these here parts. Seriously though, there are a lot of ways to subdue someone when you have better training than him. Brutally beating someone like that (especially a minor) is certainly not one of those ways. And the guy's a royal douche if you read the link above by Logan Keller. Just how much can a 15 year old girl fling her shoe at someone's shin that it's able to cause bleeding and pain? (He stated in his report that the shoe hit him in the shin and caused pain and bleeding).

Looks like she threw her shoes at the cop by flicking them off of her feet which I suppose if anybody did that it would result in them being slammed into the wall and then thrown on the ground. By her body language it was obvious that she was giving the officers lip, again, another stupid thing to do.

But no, she didn't deserve that amount of brutality (or any at all) and the police should have shown restraint when dealing with her. Any cop worth their badge should not deal with a 15 year old like that.

However I have not seen the big picture so I could be wrong.

Actually, come to think about it, it would be interesting to see what landed her in that cell and see if anybodies opinion changes.
Yes but I believe they're supposed to be moral and not get annoyed by petty insults.
Personally I think it's ridiculous that cops can make up some charge if you flip them off or something, blatant power-trips.

as the theory goes, its only OK if they are under 18.

that and murder is OK if you kill yourself afterwards.

is it just me or is my Psychic Beacon broken again????

It's supposed to make them obey not mindlessly kill.

*looks as machine*
*reads note attached*

KHELL STOP STEALING PARTS FROM MY MACHINES!!!!

*grumbles*
*turns machine off*

I'll get to it later, I need to finish this Geothermal Ion Array

Well that's why nobody (except other douches) will cry for him if he gets jail time.

Christ... I'm sick of hearing stories like this. Don't get me wrong, there is such thing as a good cop, but this fucker shouldn't be wearing a badge.

Both the cop and the girl should go down.

The 15 year old for being the scum of society - I despise people like that, especially idiots who recognize Police are there for there own good. I beleive addition punishments should be added (slightly longer time in jail) for those who abuse officers.

The Policeman for over-reacting, yes she probably deserved it, but at the end of the day that badge signifies your trained to deal with brats such as this. He should certainly be kicked off the force but I don't suggest jail time, especially when you see some of the ridiculously low sentences for murder these days.

So, wow some violence. Shock and horror.

Seriously get over yourselves, there is a reason its called the "thin blue line". Sure it was a bit over the top but in all honesty I can imagine the kind of backward chavvy abuse the girl was probably spouting anyway. Give him a slap on the wrist, anything more is just hypocritical.
What, so for being mouthy and flicking a trainer she deserves to be kicked and have her face slammed into a wall then the floor by two adult Police Officers?
If you're ever in a position of power, remind me to assasinate you.

She may be scum (she stole a car, pretty scummy), but she's still half the weight of one of them, nevermind two, she's also already in the cell, they don't need to over react like that.

Just curious...what exactly qualifies the girl to be 'the scum of society'? The report states the car she and her friend were caught driving was the friend's mothers. Granted, it's still theft, but, given that the other girl was related, I doubt their family would have pressed charges.

Second. You, and I, and the rest of us have almost absolutely no idea what the girl is like, or her background...seems to me like people are making a lot of assumptions as to her character to make themselves feel better about what happened. After all, nothing to feel bad about if she 'deserved it' right?

And granted...the same can be said of the police officer, no-one here knows the man or what he's like personally, but then again, don't actions speak louder than words? Even if the girl in question had been being verbally abusive towards the officers and even if she did indeed cause her shoe to hit the officer. Does that justify the officer's actions?

I don't think so. A few of the comments I've read on various sites have stated that 'they're only human', and while this may be so, these people are -supposed- to have the utmost control when on duty.

That ***** deserved it, she stole my own shoe! [/sarcasm]

But seriously, if the girl was spouting insults at him, shouldn't he, as a deputy, be used to that kind of talk? Yeesh, fired, arrested, and jailed.

What a douche! Then again, all pigs are. The prick should've been beaten down in public. He thinks he's a big strooong man 'cause he can bitchslap a teenage girl
While I don't agree with the what the man did, the logic you're using to crucify the man here is severely broken.

The real problem is that many police officers are corrupt, and figure themselves above the law, even though they need to be the most under it. I may be a little cynical because of the cops within the area that I live.

Corrupt people make corrupt cops, which is all the worse for everyone.
Not all cops are like this jerkwad though. The average cop is actually a person who wants to do some good for the community. The problems lie with the corrupt ones, acting like a cancer in order to infest the good parts.
Fired and jail time is what this guy deserves.
No joke. I have family and friends who are cops and they certainly aren't corrupt. My brother is a paramedic and knows many many cops who aren't corrupt.

Sure, corrupt cops are out there, but to generalize is to be just as bad as those bad cops who think all black people did something wrong or all that teenagers are punks. This guy should be fired and arrested, no doubt, but his stupid actions won't suddenly make me hate or distrust cops. That's completely illogical.

Well the sad true is that most cops are cops because they were wimps as kids and had no respect from their friends whatsoever and when they turn 20 something they put on an uniform get a badge a baton and a gun and go to buff up on the gym with some steroids and feel all high and mighty. There is no reason to smack a defenceless under aged kid who has no mean to defend himself and here we have a girl for Christ sake.

And to anyone that said it was ok just look at the way he attacks her :p

to restrain a 15 years old girl you could simply twist her arm or grab her. since she is not strong she would not be able to counter-attack.

well this guy goes all out with an kick to the stomach, punch to the face, crushing face against the wall, pulling hair, hitting the ground with ones head, crushing her back with his knee and 2 hit to the back of the head combo. Thats 8 hit combo. little to much for a small girl would do just fine agains a drunk guy with a knife.

if anyone thinks the cop did fine than i wish you the same fair treatment whenever you get arrested :D would love to see you making a post here about how police do their job just fine.

I hope this is a sarcastic comment. How would you feel if that was your girlfriend/mother/sister?

The officer has commited gross misconduct and a crime.
It is not and either of those three were acting like asshats like that in jail not only would I applaud the officer I would join in. Acting like some 12 year old punkass commie-fuck is not endearing or acceptable behavior in society though it seems to be on these forums.
