Portal 2 simply because Minecraft isn't actually a game it's a brilliant idea that is much more then a game, if I had to classify it I'd call minecraft a tool
Battle Feild 3 looks like a close second with Mass Effect but both need to have an excellent story and I'm kinda up in the air as to how they will turn out

That's kind of the point i'm making. They aren't hyping it. If it were close to release, the would be, you don't downplay the hype when a game is on the verge of release, but they ARE hyping ME3, even though they haven't given us a firm street date. And i company like bioware wouldn't want to compete with ITSELF for sales, so, i stands to reason the next big bioware release is ME3, in the fall. TOR will be after that, prolly some time in 2012. I believe it to be Brink, although to be perfectly honest after all these so-called AAA+ games being somewhat lesser than expected I could imagine it's touted features to be lacklustre and not doing all that well.
From what I've seen of the games released this year they aren't all that special. I'm very disappointed with Shogun 2. I've barely played it and don't find it all that interesting

I must say those are the only two, along with Modern Warfare 3, that I will be definately getting this year.
I'll wait until Portal 2's gone down to a sensible price; no fucking way am I paying £40 for a <20 hour Single Player and an euqually long Co-op, no matter how good it is. Go suck yourselves off, Valve.

I loved Portal 2 and Dragon Age 2 but im thinking possibly ME3 or Skyrim once they're out... its a bit early in the year to be deciding on GOTY yet though
