it gets kinda silly at the end.
Can I borrow that thread, It would be like having an extra life in the forums where you dont actually have to say anything.

Well if it does I can at least not feel guilty about not doing anything amazing with my life, because regardless of the success I could have had... I would still be dead.
Also... no I have no concern because it was an outdated calender that simply did not stretch past 2012.

People have been claiming the world is gonna end since the dawn of time, there's nothing different about this theory. And I don't want to sound evil here but if people are gonna do stupid shit which could land them in jail or worse killed then it serves them right.

I've always wondered, if 2012 is going to end the world, why kill yourself? I mean, everyone's going to die anyway, so why the rush? Are you hoping to avoid the crowd or something?

The Mayans died!

Why? Because they spent time making sissy calendars and braiding their friends' hair! Why if Saxton Hale would [ramblerambleSaxtonHalerambleramble] pansexual love to dinosaurs.

[hr]

But back to the real point, no it will not end. We have been around for millenia, what has the right to take us off the planet oh so suddenly?

While the Mayan artists excagerated the detail in their works, they can still be seen as proof that the mayans knew this was coming

You mean other than the planet itself we are constantly sticking with big ass needles, destroying everything else it tries to grow, moving shit around where it just doesn't belong and attempting to suffocate it? Nothing I suppose.

I love the fact that the Mayans could accurately predict the end of the world but not the Aztec/Spanish buttfuck which wiped them out. Its like asking if Nostradamus could predict the lottery numbers, but he cant because specific predictions are always wrong and facepalms for everyone who believes this bollocks.
There will be a guy born somewhere around.... europe and he will...... do bad things...... and it will be against a certain people...... and everyone will remember the bad things..... thus Hilter was predicted. oh yeah and i should probably throw in an animal metaphor but i'm not that creative.

you forgot the "it's fucking bullshit" option on your poll there buddy
I figured that might be a tad offensive to anyone that did believe the world was gonna end and maybe dissuade them from posting there opinion. And yet.... the people that said yes haven't really posted anything so i guess that was some people trying to f up a poll.

Going to sound mental in this post, but i honestly get scared by films such as 2012 and The Day After Tomorrow.

It makes me realise it is all possible and that one day (maybe not 2012) we are going to have to watch the world end. No wonder i had that nightmare last night about fighting for my survival as unseen evils tortured my hometown with no way to stop them!

Truthfully i have cried watching The Day After Tomorrow (then again i cried watching the new War Of The Worlds) and if i sat in the cinema to watch 2012 (which i want to) i will probably cry at that. Im just a sucker...
Excuse me but you must be insane. The world can't freeze over a few days, it's absolutely impossible. Global warming is true and it's happening right now, each winter is a little colder and each summer a little hotter. The climate is just going to start sucking and you and I will be long dead before the world is in an endless winter.

OT: I actually know a few people who are stupid enough to think that the world will really end in 2012. Just like Y2K and July 6th of 2006, it will be a normal day and the next day everyone will forget how stupid they were and go and predict another end.

True, i didn't quite mean that the time frame was correct, more that this kind of thing (climate change e.t.c) is a big problem and could cause problems for the future. Im not worried about it happening when im alive coz i don't think it can. But i do fear for the future generations.

I don't care if it will happen or not. Either way I will find someway to have a good time if life goes on or if its being crushed all around me.

No, and who the hell are the two voters who voted yes? We need to be rid of them! >_<.
Are you kidding? We are the ones who will save you, and you want to get rid of us?

It will happen on Friday, 21st of December, 2012, at 11:11:11.

The clock is ticking [http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/customcounter.html?month=12&day=21&year=2012&hour=11&min=11&sec=11&p0=0].

It isn't too late for you all to wake up to this. Do not be fooled by the agenda of the Orion Reptoids [http://www.greatdreams.com/reptlan/reps.htm] who are really the ones controlling our planet, up until recently anyway. The recent events (such as Obama being elected and the credit crunch) can be directly attributed to this actions of the Andromedan Council causing the reptoids to leave:

The Andromedan Council has ordered all extraterrestrial presences on the planet, in the planet, and on the moon to be completely out of our space. They want everything that's ET, benevolent or not, off the planet. This will be very interesting since there are over 1,833 reptilians living in our planet and over 18,000 grays living underground and on the moon. The council would like to see how we will live with each other when we are not being manipulated by ETs, as we have been for the last 5,723 years.
It is amazing how people can't see the truth. The problem is the Illuminati still have all the power. People need to fight back!

I'm not worried about some cosmic disaster striking at that precise moment and wiping us all out. That could happen at any time and we've learned to live with that realization supressed into our subconscious, only coming out to haunt us in our sleep.

What I'm really worried about are self fulfilling prophecies. Do you know why Friday 13th is unlucky? Because a lot of people believe it to be. As a result, there are more accidents and the financial market is less stable on those days. What I'm worried about is a whole year of such crap where a constant atmosphere of doomsaying and fearmongering slowly unhinges the global community, with each minor setback being seen as a portent of upcoming doom that further panics the public causing even more bad things to happen, culminating in a mass panic on the 12.12.2012.

I'm not afraid of cosmic apocalypse, meteors and crap like that. I'm afraid of idiots.

Y'know, I'm curious what will happen the day before the 2012 doomsday date. What the media will be like, how the streets will be. Cause there's alot of people eating this bullshit.

(And I'm a Christian, and according to my bible no one can predict the day of the apocalypse and it will come on a day no one expects. Thus, why I believe I can burn in hell anywhere between 5 seconds from now and when I die of old age.)
