I say Tokyo because the possibilities for the opening and closing ceremonies is quite frightening and therefore awesome, besides that's all I watch.

This one, not Rio because of the enormous crime problems, Madrid maybe, it's a nicee place but I think Spain's bid will be lacking in ambition.

Chicago, no, not that the bid will be bad by any means, just that since 1990 there's been two Olympics on the US (Atlanta, Salt Lake City) and there's quite a deeply ingrained feeling of nepotism aimed at the IOC and America, they're going to be giving the games to other places for a while to avoid losing face.

Tokyo because Japan did very well with the Nagano winter games and their bid will somehow be different to the others. Plus they'll want one up on the Chinese more than even the US.

The Olympics can go to hell. China handled it poorly, locking away the homeless and now Vancouver is doing the same. Cutting art funding, putting enough security in so it's like living in 1984 and now making rules so they can get rid of the homeless.

So, we can protest right? Yes, but only in little pens they've set up for us. No, really. Can we put up signs of protest? No, they'll take it down.

This is shit. Governments handle this poorly nearly every time. The chance to get the Olympics is great for the money boost, but horrid for the people living there.
