If that's the case then they shouldn't be able to ride bikes at all. If 4 year old children are legally culpable for doing this, then they may have to start riding on the roads with the cars, despite that fact they'll be all but invisible to the traffic.
Also, if 4 year old children can be sued for the adult crimes they commit, then what about the little children at the beach who run around naked? Can they be sued for indecent exposure?
I hope the four year old gets to be tried by a jury of it's peers in court, that would be adorable.
In either case, it's still crazy to sue a four-year-old for something like that.
No, I don't think so. That should be up to their parents to keep under control. Children shouldn't be running around naked unless it's one of those beaches that allows it. But even then, I think that's only adults, so my point still stands.
